Dead Set - Channel 4 five part mini series

Something for us brits on here. Channel 4's new series 'Dead Set' is being aired for the first time on halloween night (apparently).

The story is more or less, Big Brother house mates go in,some kind of virus outbreak happens turning people into infect/zombies, while there in there they are blissfully unaware of the horrific events unfolding outside the Big Brother walls...until an eviction night when all hell breaks loose.

Over the ensueing days in a cruel reflection of the game show they thought they were entering, the contestents fall victim, one by one to the hungry masses outside.

Im hoping the series isnt restricted to inside the house, by the looks of the trailers they do get outside the BB walls. Either way I think it will still be pretty awesome, been waiting for a zombie series for ages! Watch all the links, I garuntee it will get you interested in it!

The pilot episode is 1 hour long. Then the remaining episodes will each be 30 minutes.

It even has fake comments at the bottom!

Finally all those years of wife swap and other shitty reality shows has payed off!
Channel 4 have really proved themselves different to me now.

All those times of watching big brother and hoping the contestants would die and now it's coming true!

According to a blog i read somewhere, Charlie Brooker's idea for this came from his hate of Big Brother, he claimed anyone who watched the show were "Mindless Zombies".

In all fairness BB are going to end up doing this for real, and Channel 4 probably will start making evictions into executions to get viewing figures up. And it will be great.

Channel 4 has always been the best channel, you just have to ignore the commercial toss they put on to bring the money in. Here's something most people don't know, after the BBC, channel 4 get the most money from the TV Licence.

Show looks good from the adverts I've seen, will have to check it out!

Sounds interesting. I've always thought it would be a pretty interesting horror film (or real life web feed) if someone got the blue prints for the next big brother house, built their own version somewhere. somehow broke into it in the night, anaesthetised the housemates as they are asleep and put them back in the replica of their house. see how long they could stay there with out noticing they'd been there years. see how brutal and evil the tasks could get (sounds like the newer versions of it anyway)

Atleast it will fullfill my fantay of the big brother being attacked by a mob, just a undead one. I think that improves it.

Yes, British Channel 4. They were started as an anti-tory station and now they're nothing more than a joke. They put on the same amount of reality crap (if not more) than the rest of the stations and have THE most annoying clichéd character hosts/presenters, the dirtiest taste in the commercial pop music that they whore on a daily basis (and now a separate station for it) and they have the same news ethics as the BBC.

Not saying any other particular station is better, they're all just as bad (imo). They are responsible for Big Brother don't forget!

From what i can tell, during a series of Big Brother a zombie plague breaks loose and the remaining housemates, drag queens, hard men and probably some midgets for "mixing it up" have to survive against the hordes of the dead.

This is no joke. I am so happy that we get to see these sycophantic morons get brain-eaten.
