Dead Snow Sequel Red vs Dead Coming To US

What do you mean you reattached my arm?

Zombie movie fans have a chilly little place in their hearts for Norwegian splatter-fest Dead Snow. Undead Nazis vs unsuspecting students out in the snowy wilderness? Sold. Well, there's a sequel, Red vs Dead, and that's also sold: Well Go USA has picked up the rights to the movie, and intends to make a US domestic release announcement soon.

Notice that Norwegian in the trailer? Love it now, because it won't be there in the morning. The previous film was part Norwegian, part English, but Well Go wants to release Red vs Dead in English only.

Brief synopsis of Dead Snow: students meet (meat?) Nazi zombies, argh, splat. Brief synopsis of Dead Snow Red vs Dead: I survived! Now it's time to raise an army of my own and kick Nazi zombie butt. And probably also argh splat.

Awwwww, the title kind of had me hoping they would also be fighting undead Red Army zombies and it would be a three way battle between two factions of undead and the poor humans trapped in the middle. Ah well, they wouldn't fit into the Norwegian setting anyway.

EIN ZWEI DIE!

The first film wasn't bad, so I might keep an eye on this one. Dead Snow was no Outpost though but considering the travesty that was that film's sequel....on second thought, maybe I'll keep a weary eye on this one.

That's exactly what I thought, but I guess they just meant "Red" as in "The red sweater that zombie was wearing."

I've had Dead Snow in my netflix Queue for ages but just can't bring myself to watch it. I always wind up skipping over it for something else. That something else isn't always better quality. Eh....maybe I'll just force myself to fire it up this weekend.

Ah "Død Snø". I've always mocked the movie for having a stupid sounding concept. Seeing this trailer have changed my mind. I might just have to check these movies out...

I saw the first one, never knew there was a sequel. Also, zombie punch!!! That arm is certainly... handy.
Red versus Dead had me wondering, too. I guess if it isn't Soviet Zombies versus Nazi Zombies, maybe the army he raises will consist of Communist or Socialist students or something? No idea.

I cannot wait for this. I loved the first one. It had just the right amount of horror, comedy, and just absolute craziness near the end.

Fun fact: the lead singer of the band who did the end credits music to this movie (Agnete Kjølsrud of Animal Alpha. The song is Fire Fire Fire. Sadly they disbanded in 2009) also did the vocals to that music video riot did for Jinx when she was a new champ.
It's a shame she sings more black metal than punk rock, she really has a great voice for the latter.

I really must get around to watching the movie though. Hopefully when I can scrape together some netflix money I'll give it a go. Hell, I'll probably spend most of my summer checking movies off the list of "movies I gotta watch".
