I've took a look at some trailers and some gameplay and decided that the concept is awesome but the developers have decided to make it doom scary... as in monster jumps out of the closet at you. i don't think this si the best way to go with this, the little gameplay ive seen puts it more as a 3rd person shooter, monsters aren't scary if you can cut them in half from 20 foot away with a handgun...

So what do you think? I'd prefer a much suttler shot at the horror in this game, like FEAR tried, you see something shift in the shadows but fuck all is there when you go to invistigate. You see a vent clang open but nothing comes out, you hear a rattling nosie above you, you look up and theres 6 foot long necrotic corpse with seven arms looking straight back at you. That would scare the living shit out of me, and then the killing can commence because i've had my punisment.

Meh. Never been much into the way 3rd person shooters are done. It just doesn't make sense to drastically show down or stop to shoot a gun. I can only hope the controls are better than RE games. Not to mention Doom3 pretty much ended the "in the dark" space shooter concept for me.

One of the goals of the developers of the game is to make you feel vulnerable rather than Halo's crappy horror attempt because you're beset by the niggling knowledge that you're a superhero. In this game, ammo limits are very low, meaning that "guns blazin'" is rarely an option.
