That guy's voice sounds really familiar. I think he did some VO work for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, which makes sense, considering he worked on it.
He voiced Romero, the guy taking care of the graveyard in Hollywood. He did voice for some other minor characters too, including the TV guy I think.

And he's the guy that wrote the Malkavian dialogue, which is half the reason I'm funding this project.

Nice to see this on the escapist. Let's hope the project hits some of those stretch goals.

Mrh?... Anyway can the zombie genre please die now mmkay? Out of all the played out tropes/setting/genres zombie survival/group dynamic has to be the most played out. It literally hasn't evolved since Night of the Living Dead.

Awesome to see such a confident and professional approach to a Kickstarter pitch. It's obvious these guys have a clear vision of the game they're making. Props for having a working example of their work to show which is my new miniumum requirement for Kickstarters now. It's nice to know the designers have enough faith in the project to have worked out of their own pocket for a few years before asking for funding.

I'm up for anything new in the isometric RPG genre and those Black Isle/Troika credentials carry a lot of weight with me.

I started out reading "open ended Fallout experience" and immediately thought of Fallout 3 and how that was more than a little ambitious for a Kickstarter. Then I realized my mistake and how stupid it was. The original Fallout didn't line up with my interests at the time of its release, I'll probably have to look into this instead.

Im interested, but am I the only one (of course not) who thinks this looks entirely too bright to be horror. Horror really doesnt work as well in bright colorful settings.

Personally Im also not too keen in the isometric view point. Personally not fond of RPGs that take me out of the First person perspective because its really rather counter immersive to be playing a "role" and being able to watch your own actions. I get the interface will make it to be a more enjoyable experience, but I would hope that there might be say perhaps a console command that would allow FPP switch.

Anyway, regardless of personal preferences. Very much behind the concept of the game and even willing to fund it in about a week.

Honestly I do not remember any game that tried to capture the idea of survival and human dynamics during a zombie apocalypse as presented in the original Romero movies. I remember a lot of shooters and brawlers. Survival & Group Dinamic? Never.

I back up Dead State since day one. I'm pretty sure it will be the best and most innovative CRPG coming out of these first kickstarters.
