This is an idea that's been dancing around my head for a long time: What if Sony and Microsoft decided to settle their differences by assembling a team of their greatest warriors and pitting them against each other? If you could choose who would be on either company's team, who would you choose?

RULES:

1. Choose characters from any console generation, as long as the game he/she's from is an exclusive. (If it's on the PC as well as the PS3 or Xbox, etc., it's still eligible).
2. Only ONE character per game franchise (Ex: You can't have more than one Left 4 Dead survivor on Team Microsoft).
3. Up to five people per team.
4. Any character is fair game as long as he/she follows the above criteria. They could be a villain, a boss, hell, even a grunt!
5. You can't include a race/species. (Ex: You can't put the whole Locust horde, or Helghast, or Chimera).
6. If you choose a character from a franchise that was originally exclusive but got released later on both consoles (like Bioshock, Devil May Cry, and Ninja Gaiden) that character MUST be on the team he/she was on ORIGINALLY. So since Ninja Gaiden started out as an Xbox exclusive, no characters from that game can be on Team Sony.

Here are my teams to help you get started.

Team Sony: Kratos, Raiden from Metal Gear, Cole from inFamous, The Leviathan from Resistance 2, and Dante from DMC.

Team Microsoft: Master Chief, a Brumak from Gears of War 2, a Left 4 Dead Tank, Ryu from Ninja Gaiden, and that guy from Saints Row (I'm not too familiar with all the Xbox characters, so you might come up with something better).

So now that you know the rules, start making your teams!

- Dante
- Raiden (xbox game right after PS2 release)
- Ryu (first appeared in nintendo, later on PS2 (DoA) then xbox)
(Not exclusives)

+ Ultimecia
+ Jak
+ Dragon Emperion (Mushihime-sama Futari)

EDIT: LOL Didn't read the whole OP. Nevermind what I said about dante then. So how does this exclusive thing work exactly (like if Lara was first on saturn but the went to PS then she can never be used in a sony team?) How about for timed exclusives?

My team would involve the people I listed, I'll think of more later when I get a rule confirmation.

I've confirmed with wikipedia that Morrigan was on a sony console first. She's on team sony.

My team so far:

Sony
Morrigan (Blows up planets)
Ultimecia (time compression)
Jak (slow down time hax)
Dante (royal guard hax)

Xbox
Master Chief (can activate Halo)
Beserker (Can't be harmed without hammer of dawn
Dragon Emperium ( bullet spam, famous youtube hardest boss ever)

I'll think of more later.

I decided to stick with current generation characters and no villains :).

Team Microsoft: Master Chief, Marcus Fenix, Crackdown Agent, Frank West (Dead Rising), Reaver (Fable), Urdnot Wrex (Mass Effect), Bill (Left 4 Dead)

Team Sony: Nathan Drake, Sackboy, Kratos, Ratchet, Cole MacGrath (Infamous), Tomas Sevchenko (Killzone), Nariko (Heavenly Sword)

My Xbox team would be (Since I know bugger all about PS3)
-Master Chief (C'mon, that's not a suprise. =p)
-Lambent Brumak from GoW2
-Sovereign from Mass Effect
-That Crackdown agent guy, the main character (Not actually played it.. can you tell? =p)
-And for lack of anything else coming to mind, Zoey.

But hey, I've got ground combat covered, anti-tank material, and a merciless robotic killing machine millions of years old in the form of a huge powerful spaceship.

Bring it Sony. xD

Sony

Kratos wielding the Heavenly Sword (that counts as 2 characters right? If not, add Zeus from God Of War 2 and 3)
Ratchet, specifically with his Going Commando arsenal
Nathan Drake (he always escapes death and he's good comic relief)
Abe (he has infinite lives and could possess a member of the other team)

Moral support from the sidelines: Sackboy! (He's also the referee, you can tell from his expression who's winning and losing :p)

Microsoft

Frank West (he'll make anything a weapon)
Conker (comic relief)
Jack (from Mass Effect 2, her biotics are badass)
Master Chief (he defies all odds)
A Reaper (Mass Effect 1/2)

Moral support from the sidelines: The Cole Train! 'Nuff said, baby.

How is Left 4 Dead a Microsoft exclusive?
Sorry, I should've said "Xbox" exclusive. (I know, L4D's on the PC too, but it's still eligible according to Rule #1).

ONE CHARACTER PER FRANCHISE! Zeus and Kratos are in the same franchise, they can't be on the same team!

Ooops sorry! Well doesn't matter, I'll assume the Heavenly Sword is a character :p

If not, I'd choose Shadow Marshall Luger from Killzone 1. She was awesome.
