I just read the first post so don't damn me to hell if i sound repetative, but i subscribe to Gametap for 10 bucks a month and frequently find good deals their. Just make sure you still have a 32 bit OS. Far Cry 2 is actually out on their now, i havent played it yet so i might give it a whirl.

As for Sacred (Gold), i played it for awhile but it tends to get a little repetative. But it is an awesome and quite unique for it's time in the sense that it made you feel like you were but a mere dot on an otherwise huge planet. One of the first games i played where you can ride a horse as transport.

OMFG! I almost want to buy this just so I can get the DLC for a good price. I own the box copy, and the DLC has been overpriced.

It's time I revive this thread since I've been a little lax. The last sales weren't shockingly awesome anyway.

$5

There is an option to pay $6.25 for the game and all its DLC.

It's not Steam, but Buy.com has my favorite RTS, Supreme Commander: Gold for $9

Once again, my personal 2009 GotY is on sale for an insane price that makes me consider re-buying the whole game for the DLC that my box copy will never see cheap.

$10.20 4 player clan pack $30.60
Each DLC $3.40
Now I have had the chance to play some of the DLC, and I have to say that you probably should not buy the second DLC if you don't have some one else to play with. On the other hand, the $3 is worth the skill point bonus you can get and the storage facility for your extra items. Otherwise, the game is practically impossible solo.

Got the weekend sale for you.

$7.50

$10.20

A free-roaming RPG in a sort of sand-box style. Medieval horseback warfare is hard to beat for ten bucks.

I can't wait till Torchlight goes back on sale. Twenty dollars is bit steep for my non-existent budget.

One thing I'd suggest to anyone with Steam, go thru the games, make a wishlist and then just wait for the games you want to show up in a sale, pretty much every game they have will be half price or less in the xmas/january sales, I can almost guarantee it.

I'd have paid the £12 for Witcher already but I just dont need any more games right now, so I'm gonna go ahead and wait for it to go SALE!

Same goes for Borderlands and a few others.

Oh Steam, you are my blessing and my curse...

A blessing because I've been able to get truly epic deals for awesome games.

A curse because I've bought plenty of games simply because they were on sale for such low prices, leading me to believe I probably haven't saved any money in the long run.

Mount&Blade Warband on sale 66% off this weekend. You officially have no excuse. $10.20 buys you the sequel/standalone expansion to one of the best games ever made.

Thanks Simulord.

Here's the standard "pretty post" version I do so you all have a link.

I've heard great things about the original Mount and Blade, but I've only grabbed it while on sale and not had a chance to play it yet. Seems like my excuse for everything. When you have over 200 games on your Steam account, it's hard to even look at them all.

This is one that I wish I had more people to play with. It's a game similar to Worms or Tank Battle but with planes. I've only screwed around with the bots and have had a lot of fun. It's got a free weekend, so you can't lose by trying it out.

Thanks NickisCool. Yeah, if any of you go back a few pages to the last time CoH was on sale, I pretty much said that CoH is one of the best games I hate to play. I can tell good games from bad games easily, but I don't know how I feel like this is a great game while rarely having fun with it. Maybe it's all the playthroughs I've seen my brother and our friends do, because the game gets really awesome. I just can't control my units the way I want to control them. Anyway, if you're looking for a RTS after Starcraft, I recommend this one highly.
