Also, since I haven't said it before: Thanks a lot for maintaining this list.
No problem. Worst case scenario, people can at least point to this thread as evidence as to why Steam can be awesome. Of course I do it as a favor to anyone who is looking for a new, cheap game to play.

Ended up not getting the Pulse Pack or SupCom2.

...and instead I end up getting The Ball as well as the JC2 and M&B packs today. Neither of which are for me in any way.

Dammit I need to learn to buy myself something for once >_>

I swear, they are making these mega-sales harder and harder to track.

There is an obscene amount of deals going on, so I encourage you to look through them yourself, because there is no way I can catalog them all. Feel free to post any that you think have slipped under the cracks.

The complete Paradox Interactive catalog---47 games---is on sale for $74.99 (an over $500 value.)

In addition, there are plenty of older and indie games that are on sale for under a buck. If you missed out on Civilization 4 (or lost or broke your game discs), the complete collection's only $6.24.

Bethesda's complete catalog is 25% off, but if you're missing any of those games, sit tight---even money says they're going to put them all (exhibit A: Fallout 3 GOTY edition for 33% off today) on sale for less than that between now and January 2.

I'm going to say this right now---if I've swayed ANY of you toward the merits of trading-sims and city builders (and I know there are a few of you out there curious about the genre), Patrician 4 is WELL worth the $7.50 you'll spend. I got it full-price on launch day and felt like I got my money's worth. For the price of a fast-food meal? That's practically stealing.

P4 was third on my list of Game of the Year candidates this year (behind New Vegas and Napoleon Total War.) It's an excellent game, and you should get it if you have even the faintest interest in trading and building games.

I'm not going to bother with my prettypost(TM) version today because all the sales are repeats from over the week. This is kinda odd since they usually do that at the end of the sale, but the page promises new sales tomorrow.

Yeah, that was lame with a whole week to go. Maybe they ran out of ideas.

I have spent so much during this steam sale, and I've gotten so many games that I'll likely never get around to playing (usually games in bundles).

My work should have an option for direct deposit into Steam.

Two absolute must-buys today:

Mount and Blade Complete (the original game plus Warband, although you really only need the latter) for $9.99.

And, if you don't have it yet...

SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition for $4.99. Five bucks for a game that nearly eight years on from its original 2003 release is still THE standard bearer for modern-era "standard" city builders (MUCH better than City Life or Cities XL, although to be fair Cities XL 2011 doesn't completely suck like its predecessor...it's just "serviceable", while SC4 is "great".)

I say "standard" to differentiate SimCity and its descendants from Tropico (the best city builder ever made) or games set in other eras like Children of the Nile, Pharaoh, Caesar, CivCity Rome (an underrated gem from Firefly Studios and Firaxis that's available for 99 cents as part of the Steam sale).

How is Mount and Blade? From what I've seen it seems like it's kind of like Oblivion with decent combat. Is that close? If so then it's a definite pick up for me.
