i've got an honest question because i'm not sure how the website advertising works.

if we collectively make an effort to click more links, even ones were weren't necessarily inclined to click before, but doing it to do whatever we can to help, would that in fact help?

(and i'd also like to state that the obvious way to help is to buy a pub club membership, and once i'm in abetter financial state, that's top of my list. i don't want to see this amazing site go down.)

But, yeah, would that help?

I'm fairly certain that the Escapist is legally forbidden to encourage readers/viewers to click advertisers links. But yes, I'm pretty sure an increase in link clickage would increase the rates they are able to charge advertisers.

I don't know. It's different depending on advertisements. Some pay just to have the advertisement, others pay to have more people pass through.

Ask the tech monkeys at the Tech Team for faster answers.

this is something i was honestly afraid of, something akin to fraud, but i figured i'd be better off asking and not getting an answer for that reason than not asking at all.
