Dear Mr Croshaw,
Please stop trying to be Terry Pratchett.
We already have a perfectly good bloke called Terry Pratchett being Terry Pratchett, and while a monopoly is normally a terrible thing, we can be quite happy with the volume of Terry Pretchett we have.
I mean, we can appreciate that you enjoy fancy hats, but you two seem to be infatuated with Trilbys. And Being Beardos. The resemblance is quite uncanny, is it not?
And I know you enjoy Half-Life 2 and Thief a lot, but that's Terry Pratchett's thing. And he came first. He may not remember it from time to time thanks to his Alzheimer's, but this is all a bit much to just be a coincidence so far.
Also, I just picked up a copy of Mogworld the other day, and it hit me. What is Terry Pratchett famous for? His Discworld Universe in the same genre. Oh-ho! There is a difference here though. Upon greeting or molestation from a fan, we all know you would most likely pull out a tyre iron and beat them to a pulp. Whereas, according to a 1997 interview with Pratchett:
"Pratchett acknowledges that he loves his fans and enjoys meeting them and hearing what they think of his book. "I get paid a huge wad of cash to do what I like to do anyway," Pratchett says of his work. "My fans are everything to me."
Hmm. So what do you have that he doesn't?
Well, you're both game designers, although, i guess he has a Knighthood and is a and you have... The Mana Bar.
Hmm. Upon realising that I was planning to try and book a birthday at the aforementioned premises in the near/mid future, I should desist with this jest before I have my name blacklisted and contract Imp Murderers for hire sent to end my life here in Sydney.
Enjoy the Schoolies crowd.
