How many of you knew this was out in japan first, I didn't but quickly got an import version as soon as I heard. This is the loudest album so far, and for you buying from america and UK, enjoy the wait.

P.S. Dead Memories is where things really start to pick up.

P.P.S. A friend introduced me to 'Krunk Rock' recently (due to my pseudonym), and I hated it. Mind you, I hate nearly all music that's made nowadays.

Yeah, that whole 'growing up' thing has a way of doing that. I have trouble even listening to Korn these days and they were my favorite band in high school. I always hated slipknot though.

Hmm, Slipknot? Not a metal band I've heard much of.

I caught a radio interview with one of them on it. The one named Clown. He spent a few minutes talking about how it's really all about the art and he doesn't care for the business side of being a musician. Then he launched into this tirade about how important his band was: "Look, this is Slipknot, we're not for the weak. The fact is, we're not even for your show. The fact is, we're it, we're big, we are real, you need us more than we need you," &c. The interviewer said "Here, let me save you some time" and just hung up on him.

Yeah, okay, I have really no desire to listen to them.

Proved me wrong. I thought if you hated slipknot you had good music taste, apparently I was wrong. They're not any better than slipknot.

Try some real metal.

Slipknot were terrible anyway but, from what I've hear of the new album, they are absolutely appalling now. They've looked at what everyone else is doing and ripped it off. Oh, thrash is making a come-back? Lets get in on that but throw in some of my other band(Stone Sour) just to make it trash-core.
They have become the kind of band that I like to call "Fidget metal", other artists in this category include Trivium and Bullet for my valentine.

Well...just as I expected you can't have a thread about music without someone telling you that your taste in music sucks and you should listen to what they listen to. Now personally I don't care much for slipknot either, there's maybe 3 of their songs that I like...but I still somehow hold hope for a good one in the future, but seriously don't go into a thread that says "dear slipknot fans" and say "slipknot sucks, listen to this shit!" as odds are that if you hate slipknot but love between the buried and me the people that love slipknot think between the buried and me suck pretty hard.

OK, I will admit, after re-listeing, the last 6 or so tracks are just terrible. Also, Dead Memories is more good metal.

If you seek to purposely injure a fellow metaller in a pit then you should not be allowed in. So many people think that you are meant to injure each other in them..

Just to let you know, I'm not a big fan, I like a couple of songs (Before I Forget, Wait and Bleed and Duality), but you are not selling the album at all to me.
