How many of you will be spending this Thursday out doors. How many of you are unfortunate enough to go to school / work. Discus your feelings on schools / work closures, and how long.

Also, how many of you will not discus the fact I know there was a similar post whilst I was on my ban.

You mean will we be out enjoying the snow, and how do we feel about the disruption the weather is causing?

Well, personally I won't be going out, there's not even any snow in Blackpool.

I've also got a feeling that a lot less kids will be allowed to go sledging after that girl was killed in Yorkshire, in a stupid sledging mishap.

On the topic of school/work closures, I think that largely depends on the conditions of the roads in any particular area, and it's a judgement call made by head of schools/work bosses as to whether they want to remain open and encourage people to make potentially dangerous journeys.

Don't you just love working at a federal institution, where you never close regardless of how bad the weather is or how few people will actually be in that day? I know I do. And if snow cancels class, they just ask me to come in that much earlier to work! Life's great.

Delighted with it because I needed a break. My gf on the other hand goes to a private boarding school and it's not cancelled. Although I think she's skipping as she doesn't board and she can't get in.

Snow day for me today. My school is at the top of a hill so it's obviously difficult for buses and such to get there.

Six inches of snow at my house. 11pm, and there is still a coating of around one or two inches. I was majorly snowed in, and spent the day either on the 360 or using a toboggan that I hadn't used for years.

Pompey, eh? My Southampton based girlfriend has snow and is expecting it to interfere with her train travel to here (Norwich) tomorrow. Clear as glass here. Spot o' rain earlier, and still remnants of the weekend where the sun never goes, but precious little.

The snow literally hit everywhere except northern suffolk/southern norfolk.
