Hey everyone, I'm going to make this short and sweet, do any of you know underground or really good bands I haven't heard of that fall under the progressive/technical death metal label?

Here's the list of death metal bands I listen to:
1. Between the Buried and Me
2. Behemoth
3. Blotted Science
4. Dying Fetus
5. The Faceless
6. Gojira
7. Insomnium
8. Meshuggah (not really death metal but they are pretty progressive)
9. Necrophagist

Gojira are Fucking amazing!

I suggest you add The Jonas Brothers, as hearing them on the radio makes me want to kill myself

None of these are death metal. Not to say I don't like all of them because I do (except Atreyu) but they aren't death metal. Metalcore is the term you're looking for, or post-hardcore. Maybe even deathcore. Chimaira is the only one that's pretty much death. If you told a death metal fan that Attack! Attack! was one of your favorite death metal bands you'd probably be laughed out the room or violently stomped into a hole, depending on the fans.

Anyways. As for as death/melo-death/tech-death goes, here's mine:

I don't listen to much pure Death Metal, so the only two I can say I genuinely like is Death and Carcass. And if we can include Progressive death-ish stuff, then Opeth and Meshuggah.

Ohh, and do you count Melodeath? If so, I can list a few more.
