I'm pretty cool with death. I would never commit suicide though. As my grandpappy said, "Only pussies and draft dodgers commit suicide". God rest his soul. And of course God is better, isn't that the whole fucking definition of God?

Actually if you confess to a priest and then do penance (those prayers he tells you to do) on your death bed, you will go to heaven, according to the catholic religion anyway, but I'm banking on that, cause no one has ever made it their whole lives without sinning, not even Jesus, and that whole 'I can rebuild the temple...' thing was him saying that you can always redeem yourself and get to heaven. Plus haven't you heard your local priest say that God forgives everybody? Its true, cause if he didn't Hell would be pretty overcrowded.

I have felt depressed before. Also thought of killing myself. However, my view now is that if I am at a point in my life where I am not satisfied with living then I will simply end my life. I am in a strange trend of losing my emotional connections. I seem to be putting logic over all else and becoming less "human" by the socially accepted definition. For example I seem to be believing more and more that morality does not exist that no action is inherently more favourable than another. Therefore, I seem to have removed the moral implications of taking one's own life and have justified it to myself as not an act of negativity but pure neutrality and expression of free will.

That is NOT going to send you to hell. And I think any culture and religion that says so is a cruel one. And yes I've thought about death, who hasn't? I've also thoght about suicide, but never once considered it.

You shouldn't feel obligated to pick a religion because you think it will save you from hell, you should pick one because you believe in it. Because technically picking a religion just to save yourself is a selfish act, and not one of faith.

You shouldn't feel obligated to pick a religion because you think it will save you from hell, you should pick one because you believe in it. Because technically picking a religion just to save yourself is a selfish act, and not one of faith.

honestly its odd because i dont wanna be in the church anymore because i have money issues and they look at me wrong like when i have nothing to give and it makes me feel bad so i dont think i should go back if the church cant even look at me like im one of them-my whole life has been one big hard fall after another and the only people who offer to help me are the people everyone looks down on-so i look down on the church because its not right-its not my fault my mum and dad left me as a baby and my gram is in a nursing home and i cant make money cause im a single mum :S they shouldnt look down on you ever

I'm still fairly torn about it. All evidence seems to point out that there's nothing after death, but I somehow refuse to believe that. I keep looking for loopholes that allow some kind of reincarnation.

I personally have a theory on alternate dream-universes that's far too complicated to write down now, since it's 5:34am here and I'm about to die of sleep deprevation.
But another idea I have that I like is that when you die, lying there in your comfy coffin slowly rotting, you can revisit anytime in your life you want, re-live past experiences, loves, victories etc. It's all basically a little parallel unoverse to yourself, where you can change the outcome of anything but your death. A personal god thing. I like it.
