Extraction Point happened, and F.E.A.R 2 didn't. I'm also gonna jump the gun and say that F.3.A.R aka First Three Assault Recon never happened. No one knows what happened to the Point Man after the hospital rooftop explosion. NO ONE!

Oh, and I don't really care about Perseus Mandate.

I have gone through many posts in this thread, but you take the cake. Why did we need to know this? What does it have to do with anything? You are totally correct in the publicity bullshit. The books were starting to fade in their popularity, so she went out and tried to create a controversy so people would start talking about them again.
Exactly! It's like she forgot they were still making the movies!

Considering that they dont have to put the game out, I think people should be happy with what they get. Besides, the design inst what makes the game good its the mechanics. NAd a good portion of the pokemon had rather cool designs, considering some of the older ones were some of the most retarded things I've seen.
Some were kind of stupid, ill give you that but for every Mr Mime, Chansey and Lickitung, there were at least 3 Arcanines, Charizards or Nidokings, they looked the part. Pokemon from the name Pocket Monsters, they looked menacing and tough, the ones from like Ruby/Sappire onwards (They at least had Rayquaza and Absol) they looked like they should all be plushies, back in the old days (Damn i feel like an old man now =/) If you drew Piplup and shown it to your friends, they'd probably laugh, but now a days thats the norm, we're getting less serious looking things and more things even an infant would find too cutesy.

I don't declare things non-canon, but I do get pissed off whenever I go on No Mutants Allowed (A Fallout fan-site) and the community bashes Fallout 3 all the damn time. They honestly can't get thier heads out of their fucking asses about this. The fucking forum says "sadly Fallout 3 isn't Van Buren (a cancelled Fallout 3 to be made by Interplay)" they've also banned Fallout 3 topics to general Fallout topics, showing further dislike for it. They rag on it for being ridiculus with the bomb in Megaton (and Interplay had radiation zombies, your point asshole?) and nit-pick for any flaws they can find. They just wanted Fallout 2.5, they complain how there's too much stuff in the game, that's right, these pricks believe that it's more fun to go through empty buildings with no enemies in them either rather than enter a dungeon like area for treasures and monsters to fight.

The worst offence is when they act like Fundamentalists in a science or history class, saying something from Fallout 3 is not canon becasue they fucking say so, just to win an argument. Sad part is, Obsidion might as well have declared it canon, considering "The Wasteland Survival Guide" shows up along with T-45 D power armor (from Fallout 3).

They love to compare apples to oranges, Fallout 3 is a freeroam, FPS, RPG that wants to you explore it, Fallout 1-2 is a bland (the graphics cannot convey any sense of wonder the way a 3D game could), empty community within a city which represents Fallout 3 in terms of size, items, quests and dungeons. Combat on the other hand is subjective, I hate random dice rolls for games so I prefer Fallout 3 because I'm not as good as a random dice throw declares me to be.

They're just fanboys that cannot accept that the game has changed hands and probably for the better considering how far down the shitter Interplay is.

Star Control 3; bad enough for the developers of it's predecessors declared it to be non-canon... Then they stopped making the game (Trying to get a new one started, it seems). I like the gameplay though :)

No! That's not my call to make. Only the original creator has the right to declare what is or is not canon, or in the absence of the original creator, whomever is left in creative control of the thing. Whoever goes around declaring things non-canon because they didn't like it obviously has their head stuck so far up their own ass that they now breathe shit instead of air.
Shh, it's just a phrase people throw around to say they didn't like it. You can't make a thread about "List things that happened in your favored series that you didn't like".

OT: To me the Stargate Episode "200" isn't canon. A minor thing, but It's all I can think of right now.
There are certainly a few SG-1 filler episodes that I could do without but "200" was awesome. Unless you mean that there would never have been a "Wormhole X-treme!" movie - you're probably right about that part.

I do this quite a bit. Midichlorians? Naahhh, my mind tosses that idea right out. I think my ease at doing this is why I still love the Star Wars prequels.

If they make a Mass Effect movie based on Shepard, I will deny its existence.
Midichlorians? Aren't those things attracted to those strong in the Force? I mean, that's the only explanation for what Qui Gon was talking about, they couldn't cause the Force or anything.

Anyways, I don't like ot think of Serenity as canon. As much as I liked it, I don't include it. I also tend to toss anything trying to expand the universe for a story-driven RPG out once it's stuff that happens after the game takes place. Anything that explains events leading up to the game story itself I'll take, but it's rare I'll accept anything beyond that. I replcae it with what I think happened, particularly with games like Mass Effect with all the choices you can make in-game.

Really?
i liked the last episode, if anything i thought people would say near and mello never existed =P
Who are these "Near" and "Mello" you speak of? Did L train them in some expanded-universe story after he'd dealt with Kira? ;-)

Probably because you're (we're) not the target demographic. Pokemon isnt for our age, its for young kids. And lets not forget, these people that are "designing these crappy pokemon" are also designing new looks for old pokemon.

Oh noes, someone pissed off Big Bird

The original designs werent that great, even back then. So when you go and say that these designers are making crappy pokemon, remember they're making older pokemon new sprites. If they had just left the original 150 as their original sprites, everyone would be pissed. So its a little hard to be original, when you have to appease people who are far to old for the game so they dont whine and ***** that their favorite old pokemon look dumb.

And you're going to tell me that Weavile, Dialga, Electivire, Empoleon, Arceus, Darkrai, Giratina (either form doesnt really matter, though Giratina-O looks cooler in my opinion), And Lucario dont all look cool? Plus Garchomp.

And in the new generation, you get Kojondo, Jalorda, Mebukijika, Shibirudon, Zeburaika, Ononokusu, Sazandora, Pendoraa, Genosect, and Victini all are bad designs?

It's great somebody created a thread about series we wished would have continued. Off the top of my head, I think it's sad that Blizzard died after making Warcaft 3 and that Fallout never got past the second game. I'm rather upset that Chaos Theory was the last Splinter Cell, that RE4 is the most recent, and that Nintendo collapsed before finishing that Revolution they were talking about. Still mourning 4e and with it the continuation of Dungeons and Dragons.

Don't get me wrong. "200" ranks alongside my all time favourite SG-1 episodes, and is by far the most entertaining, but I don't consider it in continuity with the series. In the Stargate Universe "200" never actually took place. Just because something isn't in canon doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. I put is as non-canon mainly due to the ending where Walter suddenly changes into combat gear.

I actually started with Railgun and liked it enough to watch the watch Index also. Index S2 also seems to be quite good so far, too.

Basically anything I do not care for I completely forget about. I'm sure there are dozens of episodes in shows or movie sequels I did not care for, but in my mind they no longer exist. Not a shred remains. That is the ultimate step in declaring something to be non-canon.

Lol few of those comments made me laugh ^_^ ill admit some of those new ones you mensioned look pretty cool, except the first few (Just a snake? and basically Bambi if he got stuck in a bush?) And i suppose you have a point about the demographic, But still that didnt stop them making 8 foot tall beasts with horns and teeth, I just think they need to add in a few more like Ononokusu, that looks a little like Tyranatar, so thats a start =D Plus shouldnt Capcom know that some hardcore fans (Or in this case many hardcore fans) followed it to the newer generations?

Although as a side note, will the newer generation be bitching about the newer ones in a few years, like we are doing now? saying that back when they played Ononokusu was the shit, and now SupperCuddlez is stupid?...i wonder.

As opposed to what, six? Yeah, like they ever went through that much trouble. Hehe, they probably wouldn't even be that good, anyway.

Once WarCraft introduced the concept of gunpowder in WC3, everything from there and afterward has been "non-canon". It's parallel universe time.

The Series of Unfortunate Events: The End (Book 13). The book was fine except I thought the ending felt insubstantial and far to "Happily Ever After" for a book of Unfortunate Events.

They will, and by then they wont be the demographic. Besides, capcom has nothing to do with pokemon.

Anyway, whatever. haters are gonna hate, but it bothers me that Gamefreak bother to put games out and immediately everyone says, "oh, thats gay. The new pokemon dont look good compared to my charizard." Well thats great. But my Blaziken beats the shit out of your charizard and then rapes it when its done, just so it knows who is boss.
