Hello all!

I'm looking for a new RPG that will completely suck me into its world. I've played all the big names, The Elder Scrolls series, the Mass Effect series, the Witcher series, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Kotor I and II, Dragon Age I and II, the Fable series... I think you get it. Whenever I try to play any of these, I get the stale feeling of I've already done this!

Any suggestions?

I almost forgot, preferably suggestions for the PC!

Some of the more classic things like Baldurs Gate, Ice Wind Dale and of course... the big daddy... PlanescapeTorment.
I would also recommend Ultimas 4-6 and Ultima 7 (8 is bad, 9 makes ME3's ending look like Of Mice and Men by comparison and 1-3 are too retro for me.)

Anything by Black Isle games, Troika Games, Obsidian Games pretty much fits the bill.

So

Fallout
Fallout 2
Planescape: Torment
Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magika Obscura
Vampire: The Masquarade - Bloodlines
Newerwinter Nights 2
upcoming Pillars of Eternity will probably fit the bill too
Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate 2
Icewind Dale
Icewing Dale 2
Lionheart: Legacy of Crusader

but you can add, some are mixed gameplays

Ultima 4,5,6 and 7
Might and Magic: World of Xeen (fan made game consisting of Might and Magic 4 and 5 plus lots of additional conten. Totally free and legal)
Deus Ex
System Shock 2
Mount and Blade: Warband

Hmm. If you're up for a free text-based browser game, Fallen London [http://fallenlondon.storynexus.com/] may be right up your alley. It's got some fantastic writing, with a cool Victorian Gothic setting and a lot of strong Lovecraftian overtones. It is still a free-to-play browser game, of course, so there's some grindiness to it (it would probably be more palatable as something you play between other games and activities, which is how I usually play it), but I'd still highly recommend it if good writing and interesting lore is what you're looking for.

Just don't go North.

EDIT: I just realized my own stupid pun; you asked for RPGs with deep worlds, and I provided one where the setting is literally deep. About a mile underground, to be exact. Hah.

Fable? We're considering Monty Python with cute doggies "deep"?

Sorry, I'm sorry, I'm biased.

Anything by Story Nexus, best known for Fallen London, thanks to Extra Credits's occasional Colbert Bump videos. It's complex, non linear and well written, yet it's more like an elaborate "play your own adventure game" with a passive aggresive narrator.

I would also recommend OFF. It's not as fantasy as most of the other games on here, such as Fallout or Fallen London, but the best thing about this otherwise mediocre game is the world you're in, the people you'll meet, and the story you'll experience. It's also really weird.

I would give Ultima a try... but 1-3 are so schizofrenic that it's hard to take seriously (your basic fantasy... with space rockets and laser guns... what?) and 4-7 are pretty much perfect in every way. 8 has horrible platforming and broken combat, and 9 is what happens when you let EA have complete control over development. Spoony's reviews of the games are probably better than the games themselves.

Steam is also literally leaking with games like this, mostly from small developers that make a trilogy of these games and then vanish... and then end up with a new name, and they continue making these games.
