Ask a certified Psychologist, because online surveys can be biased in order to convince you to buy things like medication that you may not actually need (or might be harmful). This concern can also be applied to Psychologists and medical Doctors in rare cases, so if you're unsure about the trustworthiness of the person you wish to have check you up, do a bit of research.

Yeah, as someone in the field, let me be the first to tell you that "online tests" are only slightly more accurate than rolling a die.

Your best course of action, if you can afford it, is to simply schedule a consult with a certified psychologist (and if possible do some research on him to see if he knows what he's doing). Anything you say to them is confidential, so short of you telling people you're going to see a psychologist, nobody has to know a thing, since you seem to want to keep it secret.

If you're still in school, some schools have pretty decent counselors that might be able to give you some more specific recommendations on the matter.

I will say one thing: The defining characteristic that differentiates between a pathology and a simple personality trait is whether or not something is affecting your life, your ability to live properly. If this isn't honestly affecting your life, if it's just "something an online test said", then don't worry about it. If you feel you have issues that are seriously impairing your quality of life or your ability to function properly, then you need to seek proper professional counseling. That's what psychologists are for.

Goodluck.

how would i find out if i have some form of psychological disorder?
simple question really. i don't want to get into too much detail but the basic things are this. i think that something is wrong with me, the way i act and how my personality changes doesn't seem normal. i go from feeling happy and confident to depressed and self-hating several times a day. there are several issues i have and i don't know what to do. i took several online tests which give vague, unprofessional and probably incorrect results. the results i got back worried me slightly. i know i shouldn't over react to internet tests if it says i may show signs of some disorders but this was different. out of the tests i took there were 3 main results which kept appearing. bipolar, borderline and schizotypal. instead of the normal "you may show signs of..." results i got these results. bipolar: high. borderline: extremely high. schizotypal: high.
there were other results which came up as high or extremely high but i left them out as these 3 always appeared.
the reason i'm worried is because it said "high" and "extremely high" which means there's a chance there's actually something wrong.
so how would i book a secret actual test that gives accurate results?
I'm no psychologist, but I have what sounds like the same thing and I was diagnosed with "Depressive Bipolar" which was something I didn't even know existed >.>
Either way, that sounds sorta like what you may have but, obviously you need to go get it checked out by a real psychologist before jumping to conclusions or fretting about anything.
Just find someone near you who can help out for a psych evaluation and get it diagnosed properly, then go from there.

Online tests, by the way, are total crap. They're not accurate in the least and are usually just based off some one's interpretations who don't know what they're talking about half the time, so don't ever rely on those things.
Just talk to a real psychologist if you can afford it and when you have the time. If it's a serious enough issue, then get it checked out as soon as you can.

However, something I will mention is that there is a big difference between having a disorder and something just being a personality trait of yours. Even professional psychologists can make the mistake of someone who's either just moody and someone who has a serious issue, but even still, it would be best to go to a pro for something like this.

Best solution is to ask a psychologist.

In my opinion, you sound kind of bipolar, but then again I'm no psychologist.

Not sure if it's the same in the US but the course of action in UK is to go see your GP. Explain your moods, how it's affecting your life etc. Remember to emphasise how it's affecting your life because GP's get a lot of people seeing them and it's usually just a phase and a waste of the GP's time. Make it clear that your worried about this and have given it some considerable thought. The GP will then arrange an appointment with a psychologist or psychiatrist (the difference being that psychiatrists are able to prescribe drugs) for a full diagnosis. After that it will be either therapy or/and drugs depending on the severity of your condition.
