I think it is thanks to these kind of sycophants that the games industry think the recent, forced changes, to our engagement with them, will fly.

The people who defend (or explain, or play devil's advocate for) industry decisions on a message board are not the problem. I don't even think they are a problem - all discourse is good, not just discourse we agree with.

The problem is the people who realize that Origin is a deeply problematic business venture, but get it anyway because they really, really want to play Mass Effect 3 or whatever.
