Heard nothing about it, bin it and delete it, if you want to be sure create a new email and ask them directly if they sent you this and ask them to do a scan to ensure the email wasn't passing something around.
It may be a fake, but keep your wits about you. You know the story of the boy who cried wolf. People talk about the big "crippling" virus coming all the time, that doesn't mean that it won't really come someday.
I call BS on this. And even if it's legit, just take all the usual precautions, don't open any suspicious e-mails, keep your anti-virus up to date etc.
If enough people know about it for their to be a chain letter, the anti-virus companies will have already created definitions to combat said virus. Just update your anti-virus, and in the unlikely event of it being true, you should be fine.
sorry thats linux, nothing better than a fully open source os.
anyway, there are already viruses out there that can physically destroy a hard drive, its really not much to worry about, anit-virus programs will have a way to kill pretty quickly.
