I have lived in the same room with my brother for my entire life. We are five years apart in age but we get along so well. Most of my friends who have different rooms from their siblings basically hate eachother. So cellphone first please.

I didn't get a cell phone until I was 16 or 17, but not having my own room is a far-distant memory. I think I got my own room when I was 4, and that was after only a couple of months together while my dad was renovating the other bedroom.

Room. I've had my own room since I was about 1 and I only got a cell phone about 4 or 5 years ago.

I got my first cellphone at the age of 7, I've had my own room since I was born. I'll go for the cellphone.

I was 13 when I got my own room and 9 when I got my first phone. I had to share a room with my older sister, so I'd choose my own room before my own cellphone.

At the age of 19, I moved out of my parents' house, then got my first car, then got my first cellphone, all in the same month. A cellphone is a waste of money unless you need it for work, or you no longer live with your parents. Then again, that's just me being bitter because the only people who call me are my parents (my job doesn't really require a cell phone).

I've had my own room since I was 10. Having your own room is practical for many things, like arranging stuff however you want, and watching TV/playing games late at night/early in the morning without having to worry about waking someone up.

I don't have a cellphone so that kinda narrows it down.
You're right, I'm sure you're in the majority there.

OT: Own room surely?

Own room. Based on how often people lost their cells in middle school, I would say that I wouldn't trust a kid with a phone until AT LEAST 13, especially since I'd probably be paying for it. If I were a parent.
