I've never been there but I had a lot of friends in the past who used to go there at first as 'a joke' then became almost obsessed with the place. Also, they started acting weird after the aforementioned obsession so yeah. I'm sure not every inch of the place is bad but I'll keep on this side of reality for the time being just the same.

I love 4chan. The /x/ board can be pretty amusing at times.

Well, actually, child porn is not allowed on 4chan. It probably does get in there every once in a while but it gets removed and the poster banned pretty fast.

Ain't nothing wrong with gore, most of which is fake or fairly mild by video game standards.

Misogyny, racism, and all that are all over the internet, and rather funny at times. You don't have to be a butthurt stereotypical liberal over it. Offensive humour is both funny and helpful - it ridicules the proclaimed differences between genders, sexual orientations, and races. And it never hurts to be able to take a joke.

Like I said, I know they're just taking the piss. I've been to 4chan on more than one occasion, so obviously I wasn't too horribly offended or I wouldn't have gone back.

But you can't deny the CP and gore. I've never seen "fairly mild" pics in gore threads, they're usually pretty nasty. And /b/ usually gets around CP restrictions by posting CP manga (which, mind you, is a lot better than actual CP, but is still pretty gross).

Edit: Also, I'm talking solely about /b/ here, if that wasn't obvious already.

Yeah I've been to it. Collected a number of funny pics too. I've also seen the progress of some small-time raids, I'd be lieing if I said I didn't find the habbo hotel raids a little amusing...

It's like a game, you're expected to be at your worse when you're there, and then you realize now trite and meaningless it all is so you leave and never go back...=/

Although if you skim through all the sick shit you can find some pretty cool pictures.

I've been to 4chan. While /b/ does suck a lot, the other forums aren't too bad. I like to hang out on the movies/TV board, as well as the video game board and once in a while, some of my friends in vent will lead me over to the Sports board for some goofy action.

Not all of 4chan is like /b/.

Yea, for a while /r9k/ was pretty good. But, unfortunately, that did not last. Now I feel the only boards worth going to are /v/, /lit/, /mu/(some of the time), /wg/, /tv/, /a/(some of the time), and on occasion /k/. The rest are just kinda there, and in my mind, only act as filler.
