I would be quite sad if I went to the Circus and their was no clowns

I haven't been to one in 13\14 years, though, so don't really know how they've changed and what goes on in a circus now.

well, circuses are typically creepy, and they wouldn't be creepy without clowns. so... i guess you're right? and that makes me sad.

why not? sure, clowns belong in a circus and a circus should have clowns. but it's not a requirement... what would you call a circus without clowns then??

Clowns are indeed an important part of the whole experience. Not because they're actually very good, or funny though.

I remember something I said quite a few years ago. "A circus is just loads of arseholes running around in circles while loads of other arseholes watch"

I blame the clowns. Sums up my feelings on the circus!
