I mean, you have to try reallly hard to get much stranger than this.

And no, this isn't good, no matter how hard you try to rationalize it. It is, however, insanely awesome.

Peter Gabriel & Robert Fripp -- Come My Way.

I love both these two to death, but I only learned recently they did a few songs together. It's... very interesting. It's just an old poem with background music read in an interesting way, basically.

In this thread: people trying to show how "unique" and "cool" they are by posting their taste in strange music.
In that post: Someone who assumes everyone places value in looking unique and/or cool.
You appear to have missed the part where I posted my own strange music directly after that statement. Did it ever, even for a moment, cross your mind I was not being serious? Did it make a whistling noise as it flew right by your head? Because I was joking.
But whatever, have a nice day.
Well, what with it being impossible to read sarcasm, there was no way to be sure you weren't one of those people who thought 'ah, but I am the exception to the rule!'

I'dve given you the benefit of the doubt before that fantastically condescending reply, though. Have a nice day, chum.

You're just reading everything into my words tonight. I wasn't being condescending in the slightest. You're free to read anything you want into my words. But that's on you. Not me.

Have a good day, mate.

What makes this one strange is its inspiration. Probably the best song inspired by a Japanese porn game, in fact it's probably the only song inspired by a Japanese porn game.

Part 3 when?

You guys want strange? Let me post a disclaimer first.

By following this link, you agree that you are NOT allowed to be mad at me for wasting the next week or two of your life. This shit will suck you in, and there is NO escaping. You've been warned.

You are all so very welcome.
And I thank you sincerely for sharing that. I'll probably spend a good deal of time there in the next months. I'am fairly sure of that...

We start with some strange Art-Rock telling us of Fruit-flies...

...only briefly pausing to take look at what Japanese Noise Rock singing of dogs sounds like

...descending down the stairs of madness sponsored by the immortal Mike Patton

And end up right there in Sheogoraths palace or some weird Dada-istic nightmare

Almost drowning in Dementia with Kayo Dot

Time to fight our way out of it, right?

And we see...kittens?

...or something like that.

Time to dive into my collection of Prog Rock albums once again to find the weirdest tracks I can find...

(Not Prog but is probably the greatest artist to play Silent Hill to)

And of course the classic...

Enjoy :)

Niiiiiiiiice!

I don't know, what is strange? My mind goes to bands like Sun Ra, Suicide, Throbbing Gristle, Devo, The Monks, Gong, Hawkwind, and the second record in the Freak Out! Double release. What I think is strange other people might think is just ho-hum.

Sun Ra- free jazz pioneer/champion/god
The first self proclaimed Punk band and electronica pioneers (Springsteen is a huge fan)
Throbbing Gristle- There would be no Trent Reznor without Throbbing Gristle
Devolution, and the music for Rugrats
1964 in Germany 5 ex-G.I.s from America invent Punk Rock music.
Daevid Allen makes free jazz rock and roll, everyone is too baked to notice...
I can't believe they actually managed to play concerts the amount of drugs they took, just look at Miss Stacia here...she is gone.
Just remember, Frank Zappa HATED drugs and drug use by musicians...
While it is true that one person's "weird" is totally normal to another, sometimes there is such a thing as "weird" music, in my mind. This is usually because it violates commonly heard structures and rhythms/rhymes. That said, your selections are awesome.
