With the possibility of a Demon's Souls 2 this year what are you guys who played the first game hoping that they change, add or remove in the sequel. I think in the sequel they should make it much longer, I mean the areas are great and they hold replay value imo but it would have been so cool so it other areas in boletaria and possibly a bit more story oriented.

Wasn't it released just last year? That's pretty soon for a sequel.

If they do make a sequal this year hopefully it will be released in Europe. Thats all I ask for. Or atleast release the first one in Europe.

A little too soon given how huge the first game is.
Oh well, their decision, not mine. Hopefully it's as good or better than the first.

Well, more item variety, and ability to customize/forge better armor and accessories.

More maze/labyrinth levels that you can literally lose yourself exploring ... i can't describe how much tense and fun was exploring the Tower of Latria for the first time with my lv.13 Mage .. lots of fun.

More focus on the story and lore of the world of Boletaria.

Some Large scale battles (NPC allies Vs large number of demons)

The ability to voice chat (with the ability to mute any douchbags if needed)

More distinction between classes (thieves can climb and hand from ledges, Knights can grab enemies and throw them, Mages regen mana slowly but automatically, ... etc etc)

More varied animations/attacks for each weapon type.

Well, that's all .. see you in Boletaria.

their wasnt really classes, like you choose which one you were but you could get to the final level and be all the classes but I see what you mean and that would add more replay.

Yeah, i know there aren't really classes and that the only differences are (the starting gear, the starting stats, and the title in the stats screen) ... you pretty much can make any class into the other or create hybrids and such ... but adding a little something different for each class will really make them more special while still allowing mixing and matching of stats and gear.

I also think they should have let us fight in the town of boleteria. Im playing the game right now in 1-2. and I looked at and saw the city, and I was like "I would have loved to fight through the city streets." it would have been so awesome.

Some mook enemies to just tear through in addition to the tough ones. Also, maybe no insta-kill traps? An open world would be interesting as well...

It was imported last year by Atlus, but the game was made by From Software and has been available in Japan for some time.

As to the sequel, I'd like it to be more of the same, but perhaps a larger array of weapons, armour, shields. Possibly a way of chaining attacks together.

To be honest tho, I don't think there should ever be a Demon's Souls 2. They could make a sequel in spirit but it shouldn't be #2 - something different with a new premise, story, worlds.

Also, would be nice if all the areas are as polished as Bolteria Castle. Love that world!

Oh and I guess it would be nice if they made, for example, strength actually useful to increasing damage. Why does a Crushing weapon do less damange than a Faith weapon? Sure, you can enchant it but only Curse gives you a decent increase without Magic, and Curse drains your HP. Basically, they should try to balance the attributes - str = the best melee dmg modifier, faith = resistances and miracle power, magic = spell dmg, and dex = speed (weapon + running) and accuracy. Endurance can stay as is, although would be nice if it could go higher than 160 stam @ 60 End.

Atlus was reporting a huge profit from it in its North American release. I'm sure it's a safe bet that we'll see a Demon's Souls 2.

I haven't bought it yet because I bought God of War 3 and Battlefield BC 2, but I will pick it around summertime hopefully.

There better be a second one. I will go into hyper mode, grab my firestorm, equip my dark silver armor, and murder everyone in a 10-mile radius with the meat cleaver if a sequel is never released. As for improvements to the game, an actual story, muliple difficulty modes*, and some randomization of items and enemies in the levels would be cool.

*Easy = Less souls
*Normal = Normal souls
*Hard = Extra souls

nah... the whole game is supposed to be hard. its kinda the point, sure their would be hard mode still but then alot of people would take the easy way out and do Easy even if they get less souls.

I hope they seriously refine the controls for part two.

They were a "tad" stiff if you ask me.

I think they should keep the difficulty becuase if they had a choice of the difficulty, then how would NG+ work?

I also think they should add a PVP tournament with CTF, and team deathmatch it would honestly be alot of fun.
