Its only punishment for stupid people. Really. You will never die in Demon's souls because the game cheats, it will always be because the player is weak in one area or another.archvile93 said:Great, one more game that confuses masochism with fun. Just what the world needs sarcasm/
It seems the safer option, maybe they're going for a different difficulty or gameplay style.SomeBritishDude said:Seems odd to make it a spiritual sequel when it's so clearly very, very sequelish. If they were going to make it a "spiritual" sequel couldn't they change the setting at least?
This isn't a counter argument but what's the point of the dodge move, holding the analog stick back worked just as well for as long as I played the game at least.oranger said:Its only punishment for stupid people. Look at yahtzee's review: he didn't even understand that the backstep is not a magic "can't hit me" move; its a damn backstep and if the enemy swings twice, you gotta move.
Actually, its more of a weak dodge, but it -can- be used as a "stutter step" thingy, as in, you do it to break up an opponents' attack rhythm (opponent starts a swing, you backstep and then block, suddenly the enemy is a half length further than he wants to be, allowing you a little room and more control of the fight. Or you could do it to fake him out, like you dodge then you rush.)archvile93 said:This isn't a counter argument but what's the point of the dodge move, holding the analog stick back worked just as well for as long as I played the game at least.oranger said:Its only punishment for stupid people. Oh, you're just trained to use a different style. Remember the old sega controllers? you know, the ones that were shovel sized that little kids like myself couldn't get their hands around? people came to prefer those over that of the SNES. Its just about muscle memory.kouriichi said:Thank god! I cant wait to play it on my 360.
No offence to the ps3, but i HATE *mini-seizure* the ps3 controller.
oh dear god I hope they make no mics still, I really don't want someone invading my game yelling at me.Jman1236 said:Demon's souls gameplay + Xbox live = Epic Win!
but then Demon's Souls wouldn't have been Demon's Souls. The title itself kind of implys Dark Fantasy.theshadavid said:I loved the gameplay of Demon's Souls but I didn't even try to finish the third level because I hate Dark Fantasy. It's a shame they didn't take a different route on the visual/narrative style.
Call it Angel's Souls for all I care, just give it moar color, moar dialogue, and moar interesting characters. Demon's Souls was already perfect in gameplay IMO there is no reason they can't focus on story.Korten12 said:[

well I can someone agree on more story if they gave the game more color it would ruin the feeling the game was going for. It was supposed to make you feel alone.theshadavid said:Call it Angel's Souls for all I care, just give it moar color, moar dialogue, and moar interesting characters.
