Hey there escapist,

I live in Australia, and I bought Demon's souls online from ebay. Will I be able to go online and access all the goodies it has to offer me if I don't live in the US or have a PSN US account? Also, i've heard that one can't initially tell if the game has connected to the PSN. Does anyone have any tips for connection problems?

Also, has anyone in Australia or Europe played the game? Does it work online? I'd hate to miss out on that section - it seems to intriguing.

And also, any tips for not only an RPG noobie, but dungeon crawler, fantasy and everything else this game has to offer? I bought it purely because of the difficulty, and because I really enjoyed the RPGing in Fallout 3.

Wish me luck!

EDIT:
1. MODS, sorry I clicked the wrong button! Unreport!
2. Also if anyone is wondering, a great site to find out how to access the US PSN store and download the PS1 games is here: http://palgn.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=598170

I have been playing it online for ages now, I own the American version and it works here in Britain for me. Best o luck to you, and try your best to get a blue phantom to help you, speeds you right past some of the earlier levels.

Bought my copy from Canada and i´m from Finland. Been playing online, but don´t really know am i playing with american or european players, because of nature of "multiplayer". doesn´t really matter, game works very well.

one tip from me: avoid running to places you´ve never been before. This game has ton´s of nasty surprises in dark corners. =)

From what I remember PS3 games are region free, so if you wanted to you could buy your games from japan until Sony said otherwise

Nooooo

For some reason I've built myself up in my head to be awesome. The thing I'm most worried about is the complete loss of souls upon death - almost no game I've played has permanently removed something before. AND IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN ALL THE TIME
