that would ruin the whole game.totally heterosexual said:i still think it should have more save points and diffculty settings
well first you need to quote me, so then I know you responded but onto the explination.totally heterosexual said:explain
I've never been a big fan of difficulty settings, i play all my games on normal as i believe this is how they were intended to be played. i tend to find that games on a hard mode lose consistency e.g a guy that takes five times the regular number of shots to the head because its on hard mode seems a bit off to me.Korten12 said:well first you need to quote me, so then I know you responded but onto the explination.totally heterosexual said:explain
Because save points and difficulty settings would ruin the game as it would get rid of one of its unique features.
Save points would make it like every other game, and it wouldn't allow the game to have its unique mulitplayer because if you can save, how can you be online? Only autosave allows you to do that.
As for difficulty settings, that would ruin the fact that the game is supposed to be hard. It wouldn't be a hard game then, it would just be a game with a hard difficulty. You don't consider a COD campaign to be hard just because it has veteran mode? It would also ruin the games sense of great accomplishment.
But thats the thing, the game isn't made for casuals. Not all games like you said have to be for them. Thus no reason they should add difficulty settings. Plus with New Game + which makes it even harder. That wouldn't work with difficulty settings.totally heterosexual said:ill give you the savepoint part. but i dont agree on the diffculty settings.Korten12 said:well first you need to quote me, so then I know you responded but onto the explination.totally heterosexual said:explain

you see, to some people who dont play games as much as we do the game may seem really really fucking hard and they just throw the controller on the wall after a shorth while. im not saying every game should be for casual gamers as well, but it would just seem fair to give them some form of an ease if they... you know want to experience the rest of the game.
i think devil may cry 3 did this well. Normal mode is already kinda hard and it still has 3 more harder settings after it. and i case you fuck up a few too many times on normal the game unlocks you the easier mode.
