Demos you admit made you buy the full game.

Well...God Of War, mainly. I think Descent and Cyberia were demos I played then bought (not sure, been a while since I played them...sometime in the 90's)...GRAW and Burnout got me interested, but I didn't actually buy the games because of the demo. Really, the only one I can think of would be God Of War.

I got the Red Faction Guerrilla demo and it was the most fun I've ever had with a demo so I just had to buy the full game.

Usually I don't play demos, but I used to when I was younger (during my PS1 era). I had two demo discs, that convinced me to buy Spyro the Dragon and Future Cop: LAPD.
Though I still haven't bought it yet, the demo for Arkham Asylum has put it on my 'must buy at some stage' list [small]which keeps growing because I'm skint[/small]...

Even though i rarely play demos now, the ones that convinced me to buy the full game were SWAT 4 and OFP:CWC, ended up getting the GOTY version too.

Well if you count a flash promo site, Jak II was probably the first one I got suckered into. LOVED that game. I've bought lots after renting them as well. The only one that I bought from a demo, however, was probably Shadow Complex. Everything I buy is usually something I knew I was going to buy for a while.

Primarily Championship Manager 01-02 demo got me into the series, 03-04 made me buy it and (Football Manager) 2010 is on my must-buy list.

Other than that:
Age of Empires
Plants vs Zombies
Cultures 2: The Gates of Asgard
GP500
Age of Wonders 2: The Wizard's Throne

Anyone who has heard of the latter 3 knows too much about obscure PC titles.

I had the PS1 Demo discs from Pizza Hut way back in the day. Got me into RPGs, as it had a demo of FF8. I convined my mom to by 7, since I thought it took place before 8. The rest is history... sadly, I've never once beaten Ultimecia to this day

Toom Clooncey's "HAWX"

Also, the Burnout Paradise demo was fun, I might buy that.

CRACKDOWN
Batman: AA
Burnout: Revenge (mistake)
Mirrors Edge
Fear 1

All purchases were also tempered by price and reviews.

Resident Evil 2
Left4Dead 2
Arkham Asylum
Morrowind (although I got to try the full game at a friend's-I knew I would have to get an
X-Box AND the game it was so good)

But none were "impulse" per say. I was just strongly in favor of the game after the demo where I had no opinion of it before playing, or I was actually not interested before playing.

Well, I will buy Bayonetta thanks to the demo, so I'll get back to you in a little while.

The one that sticks out the most in my mind is probably Wind Waker, I usually have a fairly good idea about whether I'm going to buy a game or not before I play a demo.

I was PRETTY sure I was gonna get Brutal Legend, but not positive. After playing the demo I was frothing at the mouth. Unlike some people, I know how to READ so I wasn't completely surprised and disappointed by the RTS content.

Also, does Doom count? I played the shareware demo for years before I bought the complete game. Best demo ever released for any game.

Brutal Legend's demo made me buy it because I thought it was a Heavy Metal themed hack and slash. Which it was... For the first half the game. The only video game I ever sold within a day of buying.
You sell a game the day you buy it because the game tries to be a more action based RTS where you are the most powerful unit and can cause fiery death to rain on your foes with the right strategy and use of solos? Which it achieves? Eh, not everyone can enjoy stuff like that.

O.T. I'd say Brutal Legend if it weren't for me being sold by the first official trailer.

P.S. I'm not criticizing your choice of selling the game, well ok I am but i'm not being a smug asshole about it, but it just seems odd to sell a game when you haven't beaten the single player and didn't obviously have much time to master the Actiony RTS-ish system.
No I got to the second to last RTS where you fight the girl at the sea of black tears and said fuck this and i sold it the next day.
