Ha! I'm twenty, and I still have to have someone hold my hand at the dentists!

hey no worries, i had to bring my gf along, im never comfortable without a loved one when blood can be involved (trust me bleeding gums rareley happen with dentists but still do) also i just hate needles in my gums anywhere else (okay not ANYWHERE) i would be fine but the gums.... no thanks... and i was holding her hand the whole time for when she went so i held hers now when i went nothing to be ashamed of in my opinion different people have different ways of solving these things

I personally have no problem with the dentist. Get my teeth cleaned, feeling some gum throbbing and call it a day. I've never had a cavity and have clean, normal looking teeth. I don't mind the dentist.

At least you get numbed. I had some idiot dentist pull out both my front teeth without anything! I can still feel the pain. I have never been to the dentist since then. Oh and I hate needles too and my advice is to take your mind off of it.

I don't have a problem going to the dentist, mostly because the dental assistant is a hot young girl.

I did have a real problem the last time I got a cavity filled though, even with her leaning over my face to look in my mouth. It wasn't a very pleasant experience.

C'mon, the anaesthesia isn't THAT painful. I even like the smell of drilling the teeth. The only pain I feel is the first injection, after that I'm cool.
I haven't experienced anything serious though, only filling of my tooth and stuff like that.
