Yes, it's dubbed, I made specific mention of the voice acting in the review, and I don't speak German.
Or maybe we're just choosy about the games we review and honestly like them that much. Nah, couldn't be that. So much more fun to call us cowards.Metalhandkerchief said:On a side note: anyone else notice that Escapist have given all games the past two months 4/5? Smells like cowardice to me. Even Sleeping Dogs which the writer made it sound like more of a 3.
I think that was Daedelic's intent. When I finished it I thought I had somehow got the 'wrong' ending, and had to check on youtube that it was the one and only ending. Bittersweet endings are fine, but it's a cheap way to end a game that almost holds a 'to be continued' sign up to your face along with a notification that the sequel will be available soon for $19.99.Orider said:If there is a sequel, I will buy it, if only because I was disappointed in Deponia's ending and would like some proper closure.
I think you are wrong mate. I think its because the majority of the games that have come out this year have been Decently good. Except for Deadlight... What a gaming abomination that was. Try not to make a name for yourself on this site as a T R - - - my friend. Maybe look a little closer as wellenprim22 said:On a side note: anyone else notice that Escapist have given all games the past two months 4/5? Smells like cowardice to me. Who knows what happened behind the scenes to earn him or her a suspension. Judgementally jumping on an event is a good way to get that to happen to you as well. I'm not condoning or condemning the actions of people who run the site, but i prefer not to lob the first molotov cocktail onto the ground. Never a good ideaLumber Barber said:THIS JUST IN, CRITICIZING THE ESCAPIST RESULTS IN SUSPENSIONS!Metalhandkerchief said:This looks absolutely brilliant. I love adventure games, especially ones that've put some effort into the art side. And all games like this have a kind of dreary section with a "WTF?" puzzle, but I can see how it's a bit unfortunate for a game to have it really early in the game, makes people think "oh god will it be like this for the rest of the game??". I will pick it up.

Pathetic, that's what this is.
That really puts me off from buying the game. I'd rather just wait for the sequel and a proper ending to the whole narrative. I don't want to end up waiting on the rest of the story, especially if it's in some sequel that may or may not materialize at some undetermined point in the future.Blood Brain Barrier said:I think that was Daedelic's intent. Calling staff members or any other site users cowards because you don't agree with them is against our forum rules. It's clearly posted that we don't allow personal insults, it detracts from the legitimacy of the discussion.Lumber Barber said:THIS JUST IN, CRITICIZING THE ESCAPIST RESULTS IN SUSPENSIONS!Metalhandkerchief said:This looks absolutely brilliant. I defiantly see the likeliness but it doesn't seem exactly the same, just really close. Also CUM SPRITES.Scrythe said:I'm probably going to get a warning or probation for this, considering I'm technically discussing porn, but I have to get this off my chest:
Is it just me, or does the artwork on this game look almost identical to the artwork on the web comic "Oglaf"? I have yet to look up the credits on Deponia, but I wonder if it's the same chick.
That is exactly what I thought. Specifically that the main character from Deponia looks just like Ivan.Scrythe said:I'm probably going to get a warning or probation for this, considering I'm technically discussing porn, but I have to get this off my chest:
