Well, it's finally caught up to me. The winter blues. That feeling you get when fun just doesn't want to hang around anymore, videogames don't ease the problem, and life just feels like going through the motions. It's ironic that a cartoon about kids living crazy fun lives has made me realize how seemingly insignificant my life is in comparison (to others, not cartoons; I'm depressed, not crazy).

This is part discussion thread and part advice column. How do you deal the the winter blues?

Winter blues eh? I like winter but I still feel pissed off at everything now and then.

My coping techniques include: sleep, listing to music really loud and the excessive watching of movies/playing of video games.

This is the time i empty my to-do list, it doesnt help the depression but it's nice to get something out of the situation.

Well you could always try baking cookies and stuff. Baked goods always smell better in the winter. They give off that warm smell.
If you're gonna do alcohol, i recomend tropical drinks (go go margerita!) as they remind you of the good times. A bottle of Johny Walker on the rocks doesn't really have that uplifting feeling....

Finally. A fire. With real wood. Chop it yourself if you can, as you always feel tons better after gettimg it yourself! then you could roast stuff! like... nuts, and marshmallows Hope that helps.

Winter is win. Due to the fact that in Winter in bed you can just hide under your dovey and be warm for what feels like all eternity. In summer you can rip off all the sheets and you'll still be broiling.

Throughout this winter I have hibernated (I'm serious, I slept through my winter holiday because it was too cold to get up), drunk a lot of booze, ate naughty delicious things, played games whilst lying next to my radiator and bought a laptop. ^_^
