Sorry for posting a thread that has probably been done a million times before, but explain something to me. For some games, such as Half Life 2, I am told to go to amazing depth into the world to enjoy the game (mostly by the elitist gamers out there) And yet the same people also tell me to go enjoy Left 4 Dead, when it has about as much depth as a puddle after a drizzle. For a while i accepted this as simple Valve fanboyism. Then came Prince of Persia, where i was again told to look at the outside, and not look too in depth WHILE IN THE SAME SERIES, ie Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, i was told to go very in depth to fully enjoy the game. This is where i was confused. Does anyone else understand this? Also other examples of such conundrums would be appreciated...
OOOHHOHHH I got one!!!! Call of Duty 4, shallow. Halo 3, I must explore every nook and cranny of every book to fully understand the genius of its universe.......Sorry wtf?
