I got probated not a week ago for something that got a lot of users rather... up in arms. And though I appreciated their concern for my reputation, I conceded that the punishment was not baseless, and I learned my lesson.

Ok, does anyone else notice the thundering strike of the ban/probation hammer lately?
is it just me or are they really crackin down on us.

I've seen plenty of trolls go un-banned recently.

It seems more like they're lightening up rather than cracking down.

yea mods get on the golf cleats and start crushing some people.
I enjoy it when the mods enforce stuff. It means they believe in the forums.

I think it just means a mod wasn't online before, but is now.

Not really, no. There have certainly been a lot of trolls about, lately. But for the most part they've been dealt with swiftly.

There might be a subtle increase in the number of Probations, but beyond that I haven't really noticed anything.

If it is for the sake of keeping our site healthy and clean, I don't mind seeing people get punished. I think that you're noticing it more, because we have more... users who aren't quite sure how to act properly on a forum such as this...

I'm just glad I haven't been probated or anything yet... although I do try to keep up my good behavior. Although, I have noticed that some people get punished for silly reasons, but I would rather see that than no punishment where it's due.

I've noticed a fair amount of probations, that just tells me that the forums are being paid proper attention by those in power. of course it pissed me off when I got my probation for informing everyone of this great program, Dru*#@%($$)@#^%ke Idle for TF2.
