My worst 2011 games: MW3, BF3, 2D fighting crossovers, Dark of the Moon, Duke Nukem Forever.
Care to elaborate on "2D fighting crossovers"?

Assuming you mean MvC3 and UMvC3 ill have to disagree. Alone you would get bored of theese games within 3 weeks at the most. However with 2 or more real life friends who share the same interest in the game the entertainment value theese games offer is easily on par with Skyrim and can grow even larger.

Also what is Dark of the Moon? I know what the crocks of 2011 are but what is it that it could take a lower place than Call of Juarez: The Cartel or Mindjack?

I meant BF3 a.k.a. Battlefield 3 but it might as well be Battle Warfare 3 because Modern Warfare and Battlefield 3 are pretty much equals at doing repetitive manipulative crap that makes you feel like you're doing something that has actual value.
Why is leveling up and getting new gear in MW3 and BF3 manipulative when leveling up and getting new gear in Skyrim isn't?
Because unlike Modern Warfare 3, when you hit level 80 and prestige, it doesn't make you earn back all of your stuff. For both games in general, Skyrim has better looking gear that has more applicable uses and makes leveling up an important part of becoming stronger and advancing an ACTUAL PLOT where in MW3 you can get killed with ease even at level 80 by a level 23 character. I do however, see the flaw in my statement because Skyrim does have you doing a lot of the manipulative RPG elements incorporated into MW3 and BF3.
Since I have the chance to do this, COMMENTCEPTION.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, it's probably the most manipulative game on the list. I actually contemplated adding both of those games because they were criticized to be terrible but I never actually researched them thoroughly so I didn't want to give a biased opinion.

P.S. You could say that about Call of Duty too but in the end they both have a crap plot. It's just HD Capcom characters from the 90s with a few added characters here and there. Give me something new!

If they are selling, people like them.

Don't like it? Play games you like and let them play the ones they like.

You don't have to prestige. Better looking gear is entirely opinion based. Advancing a plot in competitive multiplayer isn't necessary and doesn't make all that much sense. And the game would be laughably unfair if level 23s couldn't kill level 80s.

Though you admit your fault, so it doesn't really matter, I'm just trying to refute your points because almost everything you've said in this thread has been just ghastly.

Ignoring the whole issue of personal bias, you will never be able to rid all of the problems of the world. The only thing you can do that doesn't involve blackmail is to buy the games you feel are worth your cash. Also, try not to hate other people's enjoyment; you may not be able to get it, but don't rob people of their fun unless it involves rape and/or actual robbing of people.

Portal 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2 aren't original... You might have noticed the 2.
They are all well made games even if you don't like them. MW3 is in no way worse then Skyrim because it comes down to opinion. I enjoy playing Space Invaders more then I enjoy playing Arkham City. That doesn't mean Space Invaders is a better game.
We don't fix it because nothing is wrong. People buy games they want and at the moment some people wan't CoD Battlefield and 2D fighting crossovers.

You give a list of original games of 2011 and all except one of them were sequels.

My plan to keep bad games from selling. Murder everyone in the world who has different opinions than me and like games I don't. The next time someone admits buying, playing and liking Modern Warfare 3 I will grab the closest weapon and do the deed.

I have to ask how ignorant it is possible to become. There is a difference between games that you don't like and shit. There are people who like Duke Nukem Forever, but it didn't sell well because it wasn't generally liked. We fix your problem by teaching you that your opinion is yours and I hope I wont have to repeat myself.

How to fix it?
1. use mind control drug.
2. make everyone have same opinion.
3. sucess

option number 2:
how do we fix opinion? resurect hitler. (or if you are evil - create religion)

*sigh* Skyrim is fun but in no way did anything original, and MW3 and BF3 aren't bad, they just arent as good as they could be. MW3 is very similar to MW2 and that is why I didnt bought it but I wont call it a bad game since you can have quite some fun in it. BF3 is a fun game but it could have gone further on making a more immersive combat feel on the multiplayer. (some mods for BF2 do it better like Forgotten Hope 2 or Project Reality). While there is some strategy from time to time in BF3 it all still fills too random.

And like everyone said already, your bad games are games you dont like and the good games are games you like. This is a bad game:

Are you sure you even researched, much less played the U/MvC3? Because thats the most one-sided dismissal ive seen of anything in 3 years.

Though im not going to try defend the story in it, Capcom said it would have one, it never even appeared. Though if i started looking to Capcom games for story content i would have to consider whether i was bored with games in general.

Why do you even care what games sell and what games don't? Unless you're a shareholder at one one of these developers, there's no way it could possibly affect you in any way.
