For those who were not aware of it, Desert Bus For Hope was running for the past week, nearly. Run by LoadingReadyRun (although they are certainly not the only ones that help), one of The Escapist's content contributors, it is a charity marathon that involves them playing one of the worst games of all time, in Desert Bus, a game where the goal is to try and drive between Tuscon, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. But the marathon itself is so much more than just a simple game. It involves auctions, challenges, dance parties, skits and sketches.
This year was their 7th year at this (hence the name 007 in the title), and without spoiling the surprise it was the biggest yet. And like always, it had it's absolute hilarity for most of it, but also occasionally very emotional - Dix and Andrew receiving gifts that people in the chat had paid big sums for, and were willing to let them have almost as mementos of their time at Desert Bus, and "#HalfAMillForBill" being ones that particularly got to me.
Anyway, while I would love to talk about each and every bit I loved about DB007, that wouldn't be feasible, so instead I shall just link a few things. First of all, there is the Desert Bus For Hope YouTube page [http://www.youtube.com/user/DesertBusForHope] which contains an absolutely staggering amount of video from DB007 (and years 5 and 6 too!). Personally, I'm going to use it to watch everything that I've missed, but it is not humanely possibly to watch all the hilarity first time through. The other links I will give are both to archives of GIFs that have happened during the event, since they helpfully illustrate what Desert Bus is like. While I know there are more, I shall link Can'tWearHats's [http://imgur.com/a/ikM5G#0] and http://instant-grat.com/db7/]simon's archives since they were the only ones I bookmarked.
Finally, I suppose I should tell you the amount they raised.

Anyway, I felt that, what with LRR being content contributors here and all, they at least deserved a thread about how awesome and inspirational they are. So feel free, if you watched the show, to post some of your favourite memories (I know some people from the Escapist were watching, and were in the chat!). And if you didn't watch it, find out what the hell all the fuss was about.
