Alright, I searched for this and shockingly found nothing, we know that desert bus is coming (tomorrow).

So why isn't there anything about it posted anywhere?
I mean going by last year desert bus is a big thing, me and my girlfriend have been awaiting it eagerly, just kind of expected more to be posted up about it.

Even loadingeadyrun's website has nothing about it...

I suppose my question is, what's the dilly?

I suppose for discussion value, let's start going on about what stuff we'd like to see this year, personally more Graham and Alex singing for me,

I know, they really need to start publicizing. All I've seen of it was a message at the end of the last Extra Credits, and they're not even on this site anymore.

Fund raiser event by the loadingreadyrun guys, they do it yearly for child's play, but this year it's seemingly been under publicized...

The escapist was all over it last year.

The good people at loadingreadyrun play the game Desert Bus round the clock this weekend to raise money for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity. What makes this outstanding and worthy of its own charity even, you may ask? This is the game they're playing. Constantly. For an entire weekend.

Haha, I googled it and found - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penn_%26_Teller%27s_Smoke_and_Mirrors#Desert_Bus but thought it was a magic trick D:

That game looks...horrible.

Yep, it's almost literally the worst game ever made (though I'm fairly sure that it was a gag or something), but that's why LRR plays a marathon every year. They suffer to ease the suffering of others.

FOR THE CHILDREN!!! *insert Helen Lovejoy here*

They mentioned it in Feed Dump. I wonder if the Escapist's (presumably still present after Extra Credits fiasco) financial difficulties are at least partly to blame for the lack of publicity.

There is no end. Basically the plot, such as it is, is that you're driving the bus from Tuscon, AZ to Las Vegas. The trip takes around 8 hours of real time. The bus constantly pulls to the right, so you have to be attentive and keep it on the road. If you veer off the road, a tow truck will come by and tow you back to the start (again, in real time).

When you get to Vegas, you gain 00000001 point, turn around and drive back to Tuscon. Get to Tuscon 8 hours later, another 00000001 point, turn around and start for Vegas again.

They do this for about 5 days o_O

I remember it being called 'Desert Bus for Hope' they played this thing endlessly over podcast, and gained donations over the time, effort, and general commentary that comes with playing terribly awful games.

I wanted to start something similar by getting famous game reviewers or commenters or podcasts to play and hopefully win a game of QWOP, money gained per attempts, distance, failure and success.

Woohoo! Desert Bus!
I am so ready for this!
I ordered my T-shirt for this year's run, and I'm setting aside the weekend to watch.
I am going on a field trip on Saturday for French, though, so I have to miss a good deal of the marathon.

Without ever stopping.

You can't forget that.
