No, this is not a thread asking you to put on your background. Instead I'm interested in where people find these backgrounds.

So tell me: where do you find backgrounds to use?

Mostly DeviantArt or promotion homepages for films/series/games.

I just Google Images search things that interest me, and if I find a cool background, I save it.

I make mine on Gmod...and despite popular thought I'm not 12 years old...Just because I use Gmod does not make me such...Good day...

I tend to splice my backgrounds from various sources. For example my current one (on the computer I'm using right now) is a Resident Evil 3: Extinction background spliced with a Guinness ad and with a little improvised PS3 Trophy ding in the corner. I make these by googling the stuff I need then mix/matching in paint. I also have (since mine is on "Slideshow" between 4) a Heavy Rain background, a Kick-Ass (film) background and a Guinness/Bioshock background made by Trivun. Unless specifically stated I find them on Google.

Sometimes I make my own. Take some screenshot somewhere or doodle a bit of Photoshop over a 3D render of something awesome. Usually I just google awesome pictures of the right size, or I just happen to find something good. apod and miotd help too.

Great site, I just put the ratio of my screen and push the random button. My background changes every 5 minutes, so I have huge library of backgrounds, all from this site.
