Hello Escapists! I was searching for a few desktop mods, and noticed that nobody on the Escapist had started a thread dedicated to them, so I felt the need and started one.
My personal favorite is CompizFusion, a desktop mod for Linux based operating systems which allows for many different functions, but the most popular one is the "Desktop Cube" and it's cylinder/sphere deformations. This allows multiple desktop images running simultaneously with different windows running uniquely. The real eye candy comes when you pull back from the frontal desktop, and see it rotating live in full 3d glory.
So, fellow Escapists, what other fun desktop eye candy is out there that you enjoy?

Note: this isn't my setup, but a display of what can be done with it.
