Hi everyone, I'm having a major PC issue here and I'm really not very technically literate in that department. Can anyone help me with this?

My PC stopped working while I was playing Dawn of War II, was really sluggish and then crashed. Since then it has not booted up to even the Windows log-in screen.

I can access BIOS/Advanced settings but Windows will not start up (even in safe mode) and I really do not know how to proceed.

If anyone has any advice as to how I can:

a) Save the stuff that's on my hard drive
b) Recover those files
c) Get back up and running so that I can get back to gaming!

More info on the PC on this link - http://eclectic-review.blogspot.com/2012/01/great-desktop-pc-death-catastrophe-pc.html

Please help!

I think i can help you.

- Go <link=http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=1889>here
- Download *.iso file
- Burn it to the DVD/USB/SD Card (if you don't know how, i'll help you)
- Start the computer with this DVD/USB/Card
- It should automatically find and mount your hard disc
- Save files (copy them to for example USB hdd)

With your files safely saved, we can try to recover your system. :)

OK, don't have anything big enough to store that hard drive at the moment.

Will have to get a new external drive and do it.

Thanks for the advice though.
