Gadgets and widgets. Many people use them. Whether it is keeping tabs on cpu speed, video card heat, the weather, the time, or even the current phase of the moon. Now, I love to keep my desktop clean. In fact...
Now, I was browsing 4chan the other day when I came across a thread that intrigued me. Admittedly, it was where I found that wallpaper for my desktop. However, the OP had a widget of some kind that read, "Today is [date] at [time]. The weather outside is [weather, temperature, etc.]. It then gave info on his download speed, upload speed, his cpu/memory/video card/ etc. usage/temp/speed/etc. At the bottom, it read, "Now playing: [song title] by [artist] off [album name]" Then showed the album artwork.
It was a very interesting widget/gadget but I was unable to procure the name of it. I've been searching but haven't found anything to come closer than Conky [http://conky.sourceforge.net/], which is not totally what I'm looking for.
If anyone knows what this thing is called and where I can find it, that would be stellar. I am running Windows 7, before you ask, so any form of Conky will not do for me anyway.
Also, what types of widgets/gadgets do you use on your desktop? Pics are welcome if necessary.
