I've only played the first game and will probably be buying the second for the co-op option. The game's got a decent sense of humor and as a parody of '50s sci-fi/red paranoia it has it's heart in the right place. The Havok engine/ragdoll physics are also pretty novel for the PS2. I can't stand Crypto's voice actor, but Pox's I like (same voice as my avatar). That's TWO aliens for Richard Horwitz.

However I was always a bit disappointed by how droll saucer-flying is, and not just droll but incredibly difficult (anti-air tanks suddenly materializing and all that). Missions overall are pretty lacking, particularly side-missions. You get the same kind of side-mmission in each city you explore - kill X in X time, destroy X in X time and do a speedrun across town. Again, and again, and again. I would've liked the extra variety, and I suppose a more inventive town design would've helped. As it is there isn't much of an exploration value. That's the other thing. In a sandbox like, say, GTA, you have a sprawling metropolis and you can go for days and days getting busy with anything but the main missiosn. In DAH! it seems like these exist purely as formal breathers between missions, to collect more DNA before paying your way across the chapter. In the end, I found the game at its most fun simply as a break to wreck some chaos and move along.

saucer flying is much better in 2 I have played and beaten both one and two two got a bunch of upgrades in the gameplay department, exploration is encouraged a bit more, no air enemies until path of the furon though, you can spend hours messing with the humans but don't expect much in telekinesis they put the power in that way down now you can't kill things by throwing it into a wall. I still own my copy of two I should probably dust it off and play that again.

I greatly enjoyed the first two games.

They had a great sense of humour, nice alternate 50's/60's settings, very vibrant environments, good story, destructible environments along with a good physics engine and weapons that were fun to use. Reading people's minds never got old.

They did have some graphical/texture and animation problems, repetitive missions, annoying escort missions and the saucer wasn't that great.

Overall, the first two are still some of my favourite games.

The third game was just bad.

I rented the first game back in the day and thought it was all right. I can't say I remember much of it these days anymore.

But the second game? Again, it's been years since I've played it, but I still remember a lot about it. I think it really might be the funniest game I have ever had the pleasure to play, and the gameplay was a solid improvement over the original.

I also played Big Willy's Revenge, which was all right I guess. I never did play that last one, and I'm not sure I want to given its reception.

1 and 2 are really great, but I remember them being a bastard to beat. I could never complete 2 without co-op.
The one they made for the Wii was pretty good, but all the other non-pandemic ones were pretty awful.

I miss Pandemic :(

I loved the first two games. They were basically my Saint's Row of the last generation. They were very fun and very funny, despite a lot of technical issues.

Never played the third one, but I haven't heard good things about it.

First was the best by far in my opinion, the second wasn't even close for me just because I couldn't finish it but that could just be me not being able to finish it but I didn't try any of the others because people said they weren't worth it.

I loved the first two games. They shared fun gameplay, good writing, wonderful execution of dialogue and an amazing sense of humor.
The second one though was by far the funniest of the two and may be the funniest game I've ever played. Oh man, I love choosing the troll-like dialogue responses just to hear the inane and silly things Crypto says to absolutely infuriate anyone he's talking to.

I hear everything after them sucked hard though.
