Details are great things. They're not back-of-the-box worthy, but they give the game character and replayability, and the game wouldn't feel the same without it.

Example: Meta scoring in Halo 3. Its great when you compete with friends to get the most points, or when you take down a group of brutes within a couple of seconds and get that distict 1000 to raise from your cursor.

Example 2: the animation on the back of Optimus prime in TF:WFC. It makes the world seem more alive.

The entrance and exit wounds in RDR. It makes killing NPCs so much more fun!

Also, I complete every duel by placing all 15 mauser rounds into the other persons head, it makes brains come out.
