I remember when I was your age.

Sorry, I can't relate.

FYI, it doesn't get better as you get older : P
True that, I've found that I've been getting depressed because nothing measures up to the older games. Although Demons Souls kept me interested for over 100 hours. Still playing it. And Skyrim should be awesome.

ive just discovered planescape: torment after apparently missing it many years ago; fucking awesome so far. played baldurs gate again before that, still looking around for my copy of baldurs gate 2 to play; hell, ill bet if i can find one my old sierra adventure games itll be more engaging then most of the dribble the industry puts out right now.

but yeah, i can relate, and thats why i find myself playing more and more old games. i am having a practically orgasmic bout of nostalgia with pokemon white though; finally seeing the original 151 animated is just....god damnit i need to find my original red version and play pokemon stadium again. that game was awesome.

if the industry keeps going the way it is, ill probably end up doing most of my gaming on that apparent commodore 64 remake.

Hey guys and girls. Lately, ive been caring less and less about games, i used to be attached, fucking loved them. I got sad when i sold or traded a game, got really exited for games coming out to the point where id practically piss myself in anticipation, and just all around had a good time. Now, im sixteen years old, and i have been gaming since i was five. I feel like the reason is that ive become desensitized, nothing is exiting anymore...violence and tits are old, it just feels like developers are trying too hard. I really liked heavy rain, and i like to play call of duty or battlefield here and there, but it gets old fast.

Someone give me some hope!

also, can anybody relate?
Ah, the good old "world ends as you become an adult" phase. Don't worry, it passes the moment you discover disposable income.

I can relate to that alright, I find myslef buying games and bearly playing them. I blame college as I tend to feel guilty if I dont do college work (so I get distracted while playing the game) dont enjoy it and barely play it at all. While somehow managing to do as little work for college as possible.

I agree with some of the posts alot of modern games are very meh at the moment, I'm thinking about buying bauldurs gate. I played it before and loved it but I was a bit too young to get. In fact screw it I'm going to buy it when I get home =D

I sometimes have months like that. I'm in my mid thirties and I still play games like crazy when I have the time. But I do have times, months often, where I can't be bothered with them.

Best advice is go play something you normally wouldn't or go back to a game that got you into gaming in the first place. Or even (shock horror) don't play games for a while. You'll come back to it with a passion.
