Obviously, potential spoilers.

Where are these four endings I keep hearing about? On my first playthrough I only had two options.

There are 4 buttons in the final room, each of them gives you a different cinematic and ending.

Edit: In the final level you can go talk to Sarif and that other guy, but you have to find and rescue them first, each of them tells you to do something that is one of the potential endings, so its possible that if you dont go find either of them, you only get access to the remaining two, since you cant very well know what they want you to say without them telling you.

Did you find and talk to David Sarif and William Taggart? That might be your problem.
EDIT: Knowing which options you had might help too.

If you didn't find Sarif and Taggart on the station, their suggestions do not appear as choices at the end.

One ending option's unlocked when you talk to Harrow; another when you talk to Taggart; another when you talk to Sarif. The last one is one you automatically get as a choice.

I think it's a fitting testament to just how much of a puppet Jensen is that he can't even make these equally-available decisions unless someone tells him to.

Did you save David Sarif or Bill Taggart? If you didn't, you probably don't get their option/ending. Or (I don't know for sure) but if you mess up the conversation Hugh Darrow, you might not get his option.

Every decision in the game always WAS pointless, as the future was already set. Universal problem with prequels.

JUST IN CASE:

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOILERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS!

Yeah but if you took Darrow's route there's kinda a plot hole since the cutscene says the world rejected technology completely. How did we get to the super augs in Deus Ex?

It was a damn failure of an ending for a game that was doing so well up to that point. It would be amazing if you had the option to call the hostage from mission 1 for some kind of information, use malik for an airlift if you saved her, Enlist Zeke for help if he lived etc

Instead we got a 50's gameshow prize pick.
