So I was going around PC Gamer's website when I noticed they had a list up of new Skyrim Mods. One of these mods was for a visual upgrade, and it linked to another mod by the same people, this one for Human Revolution.

Oh my god. That looks incredible!
One of the things that was holding me back from buying HR was that it looked too flat to me. I liked the art design, but the visuals were too muted. This makes the game pop out like never before, and just makes everything look shinier and more awesome.

If you want, here's the link I found for the mod.

And for discussion value, have you found any mods for Human Revolution that have been game changers?

Just a little nitpick, but you chose the worst picture to show off the new graphical effects. That picture makes it look like minor differences, but other pics in your link look great.

ENB series mods are great looking. They also take a more or less functional game running at 60 frames, and punt it's testicles through it's head to make it run at a horrendous 9 FPS.

I just felt the articles sort of downplayed the "certain framerate hit."

That definitely has me interested.

Tbh I hadn't even considered checking out any mods for HR, but I definitely will now.

Thanks for the link.

If you ask me, the pictures suggest that the mod tampers with the game's art direction a bit too much for my tastes. Yes, it's ridiculous that everything in the game is yellow and black. But it doesn't matter, because that stylish aesthetic is what makes the game (with its otherwise ho-hum graphics) truly beautiful. Technical upgrades at the cost of aesthetics just don't seem worth it.
