Sorry if this doesn't belong here...
Anyway, I recently installed Deus Ex Game of the Year on this Windows 7 computer. It installed fine, but now when I try to load it up, it says I need to put the disc in... but the disc IS IN. And I can't reinstall it, it comes up with an error reading:

Uninstaller couldn't find product: Deus Ex

History: USetupDefinitionWindows::performUninstallCopy < - USetupDefinition::Init < - WFilerWizard::WFilerWizard < - Setup

________
Any ideas?

Have you tried uninstalling it with the 'add or remove programs' feature?

If that doesn't work, it sounds like the game is still in the registry even though the files aren't there. Try using CCleaner or something to get rid of unused registry entries.

Afterwards, you might want to try using a no-CD crack instead of keeping the disk in. You can usually find them on [a href="http://www.gameburnworld.com/gp/gamefixes/deusex.shtml"]here[/a] (but make sure you scan everything that comes off that site for viruses).
