DeusEX trailers: Are they hiding something?

The first time I saw a trailer for the new DeusEX game it literally gave me chills. Ive been following all the trailers since and now ive been lucky enough to actually watch a in game trailer. But somethings up. Why does it look so, umm, last gen? Is it because next to the cinematics its not as up to par or is it really lacking? Regardless of how it looks im sure it will be fun. I just dont want to run into something like Homefront had. Im always down for games not taking the realistic route and trying to add a more artistic look, but if ur trying to impress ur audience with your visuals at least make the entire experience look the same. EDIT: Also it was the gameplay that seemed a little misleading. Couldnt tell to much but looks a little rough. Post #3 knows what I mean.

What do you think guys and gals? Are the trailers trying to hide most of the real game play with cinematics cus it really looks bad or are they just misleading and I need to fix my TV? Ur call

Dunno what you're talking about. I've seen gameplay footage and it looked fine to me.

Maybe I'm the wrong person to say. Not really a hardcore graphics enthusiast.

I get what you're saying. I thought the same thing watching it though I don't think it was the graphics that were the issue. The gameplay just really seemed kinda lame. The sneaking was the same as it was in Deus Ex (i.e. stay behind the guards or they'll see you) and the combat was just generic. Hopefully the augs will be out of this fucking world. Otherwise, I'm feeling an overwhelming sensation of meh.

Ur telling me these videos dont look a little behind the times? Ill give the explosions from the guns credit but the general look seems and plays a tad stiff dont you think? Maybe Im just looking to hard but ive grown up with games long enough to judge bad gameplay I sure hope.
