Naughty Dog gets plenty of credit. As they're a Playstation only dev, you just have to go to Playstation focused forums to hear it.Offworlder said:Now i might be wrong but Naughty Dog don't get as much recognition as they deserve IMO. They have made the Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter and the Uncarted games, but are barely mentioned under all of Valve and Bungie praise.
That's just my opinion, but what about you?
When they're taking a break from raping their own franchises.Dyme said:Blizzard.
I know they get a lot of recognition.
But they probably deserve even more. Whatever genre they touch, they make the best games in it.
Yeah, thanks for ruining my port of Saints Row 2Everyone who said CD Projekt
How did you hate the sequels? Both of those games were so much fun.Bobbity said:I loved the original Jak and Daxter, but I hated what they did with the sequels.
They did say CD Projekt Red rather than whoever earned your ire there but I guess that they are hyped to insane levels by fans anyway so I don't see why they are lacking the recognition they deserve. As are Naughty Dog if you look in the right places. I guess I don't see the point in this thread, unless we are just naming devs who have slightly less rabid fanboys than Bioware or Valve.Projo said:Yeah, thanks for ruining my port of Saints Row 2Everyone who said CD Projekt
Thankyou! Yes they need to pick up their bug and glitch fixing issues but they're one of the few developers who put story first. In fact, they're one of the few developers who's game I've played has actually had an effect on the way I view the world. Stories that actually enrich my life are sadly rare in the game industry.AlternatePFG said:Obsidian is a good dev. Sure their games are buggy as hell usually, but past that they are great at story telling and writing. Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer had easily one of the best stories in any RPG that I've played.
Plus, you know, The Darkness.Wayneguard said:Starbreeze. They accomplished the impossible and made a fantastic game out of a movie ip. Escape from Butcher Bay is one of the most innovative games to come out of the previous generation. It seamlessly AND I MEAN SEAMLESSLY blends stealth, gunplay and melee with and has a great setting and atmosphere. Dark Athena ain't bad either.
