Was thinking of doing an article about this for my blog. Which developer do you think is the worst for not listening to fans and critics when it comes to sequels.

Konami is pretty bad. It took us 10 years of bitching about the camera for them to give us a working one for Metal Gear solid. Same goes for the cutscenes except they didn't fix that, they just made it worse.

Sega is probably the worst in my opinion. The fans have been screaming for a sonic game where you just play as Sonic and you jump on shit to kill it, that's it, that's all. No guns, no other characters, no white hedgehogs, no human kissing. It looked like they'd finally given us what we wanted with Sonic Unleashed when 'shazam' we're informed that we'll be spending half the game playing as the 'Werehog' who looks like the mutant offspring of the wolf from Okami and Dhalsim from street fighter. Oh and in the next game sonic uses a sword. argh.

I liked the cutscenes just not in regards to the total length of the game. There simply wasn't enough time for me to enjoy the game mechanics.

That being said they really could tone that shit down a little.

Nintendo hasn't been listing really well lately at E3 there was nothing that appealed to the hardcore gamer other than the motion plus in my opinion I'M TIRED of going to a game store looking at Wii games and finding all shovelware and licensed crap

That's not really Nintendo's fault though is it? I mean they don't control 3rd party developers.

Bungie... I mean come on, do they EVER listen to their fans? uh... Okay, I might as well give a serous answer...sence I'm here

the worst offender I can think of is Nintendo, Now I'm an Xbox owner, so let's just get that out of the way, I'm not a fanboy, I don't even own a Wii,
but how long have the Hardcore Nintendo Fans been begging for a game other than Zelda and SSBB? And what has Nintendo said?

"Oh, we have a bunch of Hardcore games, we're just making it so that the casual fans can play them too, on an equal playing field"

They really shot themselves in the foot when they announced their motive for Mario Cart Wii edition.

I'm done, please continue

Nintendo (from my friends perspective, the Niny-boy) They never listen to their fans (apparantly, my friend says that again the Nin-boy) but this is also coming from me as they truely do not listen to their fans (where the hell is kid Icarus Wii? I need to get a workout for my Wii Nintendo!)

I generally don't keep thrack of these sort of things , But i'm going to have to agree with Nintendo being bad about this. They're barely listening to the hardcore section of gamers on the Wii. but they're listening reeeal well to the casual audience.

Didn't Miyamoto say that he considers E3 a farce for the casual gamer, and will reveal the better stuff later?
So the way to cure E3 of this farce is to put casual games that the casual owners will never know about because they don't know about E3 in the first place?

Bethesda. "Let's buy a license to a series that has an extremely well established fanbase, multiple fansites and people still modding the original games and turn it into Oblivion With Guns".

Oh god, let's not have the 'Oblivion with Guns' debate again...

It would have to be ID software for me. The only company I can think of that STILL makes mundane FPS's with all the AI of Doom 2, despite the huge leaps the genre has achieved since then.

I was fine with the cut scenes too. I admired the story more then anything really.

The Metal Gear Solid narrative really is impressive. That's why I played them, though 4 was actually a very competent Third-person Shooter, imo.

Anyway, on topic: [INSERT MMO DEVELOPER HERE]. I mean, all of them have gaggles of screaming players that think they're god's gift to game design crying because [INSERT MMO DEVELOPER HERE] isn't listening to what their uberleet guild has to say about how the developer is "ruining the game."
