Please pay your staff?
Wow I thought EA would pay high and that was a myth from EA haters but its true they really are evil.
I can't say for certain but I've read lots of accounts that say EA is one of the worst companies to work for. Shit like 16 hour days with no overtime pay and a crunch period that can last a year. It's like something out of Indiana Jones and the temple of Doom.

its true some company's don't listen at all, some do listen but only take little bits from it and some take all the advice in.

Out of them 3 the ones that listen but are more selective do the best job really. No offence to you but when company's listen to all their fans and try to please them all it becomes a complete mess.

For halo 2 vista that was Microsoft doing - glad their on their own now XD

EA is pure evil, all the people in the game industry I've talked to have told me the same things about EA. Their like head crabs/zombies/flood/parasites.
They appear one day, next thing all local dev teams are missing staff - their been bribed and headhunted to join EA. There are safety measures to stop this happening in lots of companys now, especially when ubisoft lost more than half their staff. Then again EA other stragies is to buy out all the company's near by so they work for them anyhoo.

Ubisoft Montpellier. They don't listen to the Rayman fans at all. First, they show a Rayman 4 trailer at E3, and it's awesome! Then, they decide to scrap that idea, and make a fucking party-game for the Wii! And now we haven't seen a traditional Rayman platformer in 5 years!

I'd have to say EA, because pretty much all they do is milk that damned Madden football franchise for all it is worth.

Although if Dead Space is as good as I'm hoping it will be, I will forgive EA......but only a little bit.

Second on Bungie, but for different reasons.

Bungie completely ignores the PC user demographic. I will NOT install Vista just so I can play Halo 2, and I won't buy a console I abhor just to continue a game series. Halo Wars not coming to PC didn't help matters either.
I don't think Bungie get to choose what medium their games are released on - Microsoft do. And Halo Wars is being made by Ensemble Studios.

Dude, bungie listens to their fans load. Alomst everything that was wrong with Halo 2 was at least not as wrong/fixed in halo 3. Also why do you abhor the 360 it's as good as a wii or a ps3. And Halo Wars isn't made by bungie, it's made by some other developer

Bungie are one of the best studios for listening to their fans, in my opinion.

I'm gonna have to go with the majority and say Nintendo for the worst.

Seeing as Bungie started as a Mac developer and then, after the Microsoft buyout, had a hand in the hardware design of the first Xbox (the Dolby surround sound was included least in part due to Bungie's direct pleading and breath-holding tantrums, for example) it may be reasonable that they'd skip the PC market. Or not, I guess, depending upon your point of view.

Still, seeing as they strip-mine the online player stats to look for design problems and players' preferred play styles I have trouble seeing Bungie as a developer that doesn't listen to its players... the same way (and for the same reason) that Valve doesn't belong on that list either.

Tempting as it is to dogpile on Ninty, I'll skip it except to say that they'd be my choice for worst offender.

the mother 3 fiasco is enough to accuse nintendo 10 times over... seriously, fans have taken every damn measure to let nintendo know that this is what they want and they ignore it, even the freakin' VC releases. even EA would've translated it already, that's how messed up this is.

It's really too easy to pick a big developer/publisher that doesn't listen. You could probably say "most of em" and be almost correct.

To be honest, I think a better question would be which developers DO listen to their fanbase. And in what aspects, and how far do the fans' influence go? (ex: Stardock, CD Projekt, etc..)

Nintendo hasn't been listing really well lately at E3 there was nothing that appealed to the hardcore gamer other than the motion plus in my opinion I'M TIRED of going to a game store looking at Wii games and finding all shovelware and licensed crap
That's not really Nintendo's fault though is it? I mean they don't control 3rd party developers.
It's the game buyers fault. If they would buy more games on the Wii it would be easier for developers to get interesting projects approved. While the Wii is selling like hotcakes...games on the Wii, except for party games and Nintendo games, don't sell.

Nintendo and EA are probably the 2 i would go for, EA ruined Def Jam the only game i liked from them and they fucked it up by turning music into some magical force that helps you fight. I do however like the look of Dead Space, the guys at EA making that seem to have tried really hard to make it a scary experience, and its not the usual type of game you see coming from them. Valve are probably my favourite developer, they take a long time to bring out their games, but they always impress there fans with what they accomplished, heres hoping Left 4 Dead and half life 2 episode 3 continue this.

yup and anyone who was a PAL gamecube owner back in the day would remember praying every night for Animal Crossing. then forking out for an australian PAL one before Nintendo said 'oh what the heck, europe can join in the AC fun' when everyone had imported it already.
it's like a sado-masochistic relationship between nintendo and their followers
