Yup, the troubled production made by Tomonobu Itagaki's Valhalla Studios is coming to the Wii U, as confirmed by IGN from Itagaki himself:

As Itagaki says "Nintendo understood my vision."

VERY excited as I've always liked Itagaki's work and I was really looking forward to this game before THQ collapsed.

ok thats cool and all but does it have a release date and is there any footage? I am kinda interested but I am unsure about where it will go DoA became much better after Itagaki left imo while Ninja Gaiden became worse.

Looks like it needs some polish, but the combination of melee, shooting, and acrobatics looks intriguing. It also look banana-nut-buggers which means DEFINITELY an Itagaki game.
